Spartans' Max Bullough Suspended

Submitted by dakotapalm on

"@BTNTomDienhart: Per Michigan State, Max Bullough has been suspended for the remainder of the season for a violation of team rules."

That's not good for the Big Ten's/ Spartan's chances in the Rose.

Huge surprise that this guy would be in trouble. I believe he was a team captain.

This is bad news for the Big 10, 12, 14 conference.  As an alum and ardent fan, how could I want Stanford to win the Rose Bowl.  Sparty can make the State of Michigan proud.  Whatever happened to their linebacker, it had to be serious and a no brainer to suspend him.  I hope it wasn't some family gets tickets thing or something like having spoke or signed an agent.

GO BLUE TONIGHT and good luck to Sparty in the Rose Bowl!

That guy is football. Coulda been a MLB on any nearly any team.  And any University would have loved having Max as their MLB.  Had a Spielman like play, tenacity, understanding, and love of the game.  It's sad that he lost his chance, by his own doing,  to play in a Rose Bowl.  For him, and his family.  He'll regret this for the rest of his life.  I am sure his extended family was so proud watching him play this year.  Must be heartbroken.

Whatever happened, I hope he gets help if necessary, learns, and moves on and forward.

There is a pretty serious allegation floating around today about the reason behind Bullough's suspension. If its true then its absolutely devastating to Bullough and the Michigan State football program.

I heard he tested positive for Adderal, which might be considered a PED.  Heard that Bullough ws unaware that Adderol was a banned substance and was surprised about the whole thing.  Lots of Adderol abuse going on at college campuses.

Truly sadened by the depths we accuse yet never look into our own house. All schools have situations that determin suspension, time out or just not starting a player for the first series. U of M has been there. Most of us screwed up in college, it's part of growing up, learning and adjusting. We started a convicted Felon and there was very little outcry from the fan base. We didnt suspend a player from getting arrested for peeing off a porch, and we certainly didn't repremand a coach for almost the same thing. Let's not get "Hollier then Thou". Dantonio is no different then 90% of other head coaches, Brady included.
