B1G opener at Alumni Field and the ladies are in trouble. Down 11-7 in top of 6th. Let's go Blue!

Looks like this will be a shitty day. Is Northwestern good in softball? What happened to Michigan today?

13-7 as M comes to bat in the bottom of the 6th. All 3 pitchers have seen time in the circle, giving up just 6 hits but too many walks and one key error.

13 runs on 6 hits allowed is not gonna cut it. Hutch is probably livid. Northwestern is not good.

I was at the game and pretty much assumed a win after they were up 6-0 after 3 innings. Didn't help that the umpire didn't call any strikes in that 7-run Northwestern 5th inning. Hopefully this is a turning point like the back-to-back Iowa and Minnesota losses last season.

Even though they lost I saw on Twitter that the last time the girls lost a B1G opener at home was in 2005.  And well, that season ended rather well.

Here's to good omens.

Walks kiiled us, but i dont think pulling Sara was the answer. I know Hutch has a reason for everythins she does, but we need someone to learn how to finish a game, knowing you can be pulled for another pitcher hasnt worked the few times we've needed it to.
