SIAP: College football team value
I found this quite interesting.
Michigan checks in at #4, behind, Texas, OSU, and Bama in that order. This was back in 2018.
Considering dollars are what counts these days, I’m popping the champagne for not only making the final four, but we are actually gaining on Alabama since 2017! #BalanceSheetBigShot #IncomeStatementSuperStar
How are we exactly gaining on Alabama? Their 2018 value increased more compare with 2017 than ours.
We were $38 million behind them. Today we trail them by $7 million. And I’m using the 2017 info (you have to click the little plus button)
Edit: I was mixing up the revenues with the total values.
Imagine if we beat OSU and win the BIG from time to time.
Thank goodness for basketball and other sports as well.
That being said, while the football team hasn't been stellar, we have been somewhat decent during most of the Harbaugh era.

My guess is Texas says the same thing about Oklahoma.

No because they actually beat them you can’t compare
#playoff$
I'm surprised USC was so far down there. About a third the value of UM behind teams like Mississippi, Iowa, MSU. I would not have guessed that.
Lived in SoCal for a couple years and was amazed how little interest there is USC football. (Actually, in team sports in general.)
Yeah, they have to cover a quarter of their stadium with tarps so it does not look empty on TV for most games.
I've always thought LA as a whole was more inclined to root for the Bruins than the Trojans.
That is, if they ever get their act together. 22 seasons and counting for them and a Rose Bowl Game performance.

I don't think that's true really. USC to me has a significant fan base advantage over UCLA in the area. But like many big cities on the coasts it's primarily a pro sports town though. It's Lakers/Dodgers uber alles. NFL teams too new to make a big dent in that as of now.
B1G TV contract. PAC 10/12 , doesn't have the same kind of deal as B1G teams.

It's sort of like we made the 4-team playoff!
My guess is that if there was a national vote taken of college football fans we would be #1 in the team they enjoyed most-seeing them get beat...especially during the polarizing Harbaugh tenure.

Overrating our importance. While we're not quite yet in 'harmless has-been' territory, I don't think we psychologically register much of a response in national audiences at this point.
There's some misconception that we're the Yankees of college sports..where we're the focus of national attention even if we're doing badly...but that's not really the case. Only one college team can make any claim to that - Notre Dame - and even with them that's not as much the case now as it was 30 years ago.

That is pretty impressive how a football team can value too much money and the comparisson with other football teams, in my university my professor comissioned me and my classmates an essay about my football team, so I use https://essaypro.com that write papers for me and helped me doing my essay because I found it too difficult to do it by myself, so with the help of them I made the best one.
