Shea Patterson invited to the Combine

Obviously a great opportunity for him. Hoping he does well and gets drafted.

I am not familiar with what other QBs have or have not been invited to the Combine this year, but I'm guessing this means Shea is atleast seen as a Day 3 option for teams.

Thoughts? Did he deserve it?

Shea Patterson is who he is as a football qb. His game does not translate  to the NFL. He is more suited to be a golf instructor.

Lots of players get invited. Getting drafted, however, is another matter and Patterson is NOT an NFL QB. Chad Henne was the last one drafted in round 2 of the 2008 draft. That was 12 loooooooooooong years ago for Michigan.

Best of luck to him. Really hope things catch on for him at the Combine and he gets a shot in the league.

Have a tough time seeing him start one day, but you never know. Having a different OC every single year he was in college definitely takes its toll and I think a lot of people (including myself) forgot that about him at times. If he winds up with a good team with one scheme that he can learn over the course of a couple of years, he's got a shot.
