Which #1 seed will we be?
Rich people problems.
The last one.
I think I'm OK with that. Not sure the 3rd #1 is better. We were not going to get the 1st or 2nd.
Yeah I think its inevitable. Which, fine, they deserve a 1 but they don't deserve to be ahead of ILL at this point in the season. I don't see us jumping Baylor. The problem with the last 1 seed is that whoever the best 2 seed is, will be really good. I think Bama and OK State are a step above Iowa and OSU.
That CBS March Madness theme music marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring for me. Love it.
It's tournament time!
I should be excited but I know the team is doomed. Such malaise.
Yeah, Wisconsin is doomed
? rich people problems! Go blue!
Appalachian State is in one of the 16-seed play-in games in Gonzaga's region.
Good - BTN gives us enough grief about that game every fall
Do they factor in Livers injury? If so, can we slip to #2?
Thank fuck we won’t have to play App State. Yes, I’m sure we’d win, but still, I never want to play them again in any sport.
Seeds 2-4 in Gonzaga's region: Iowa, Kansas, and Virginia. The 8/9 game is Oklahoma and Missouri.
I just hope Loyola-Chicago isn't in the 8/9 game for Michigan. I don't want to play a team that's top 10 in Kenpom in the second round.
Grand Canyon is an awesome national park, but I am not as familiar with their bball team
They are tall.
And deep
They tend to plateau.
the pre-games are lit though
Feel like they started as an online school (I'm serious...but likely wrong)
Their commercials gave me the same impression
They’re a Christian school and not based near the Grand Canyon
It's the only for-profit school in Division I (maybe in the whole NCAA?) so your impression is wrong, but not baseless.
Well at least we don’t have to hear about an App State matchup and watch the blocked kick all week.
Gonzaga will get challenged in their bracket. Not as tough as I would have hoped, but Iowa could give them fits.
Hmm, I thought they got a really easy draw. They've already beaten Iowa this year, BTW.
Yeah...but that game might look drastically different in a rematch. That first one was a shootout. I think Iowa has at least figured out a FEW things on defense since then.
And Kansas, and Virginia.
Watched A LOT of college ball this last week. B1G sure does look strong this year compared to other conferences.
Big 12 has some good players and athletes. Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech, Okie St all look pretty damn strong
SEC has athletes but play NO defense, and just run around and hoist up shots. No structure at all.
ACC looks weak. FSU, as usual, has a bunch of athletic giants, but poor guard play and little structure. NC might be putting things together, but they're not good enough.
Big East looks pretty weak to me. Not much to fear there now that 'nova lost their best player.
Pac 12 - ugh. Awful. A really bad Oregon State team won their tournament!
Everyone else - Gonzaga is good. Big, and full of shooters. Still wonder if they've faced enough good teams to run the table. Houston has some athletes, but don't see them winning 6 tournament games.
Best B1G teams - including Michigan - look as good/better than anyone out there. Hope this is finally our year.
FSU, as usual, has a bunch of athletic giants, but poor guard play and little structure.
It's funny how this is every Leonard Hamilton FSU team that ever existed. They could make a deep run or they could commit 20 turnovers and lose by 30 in any given tourney.
Winthrop will beat Villanova without Gillespie.
Seeds 2-4 in Baylor's region: Ohio State, Arkansas, and Purdue. The 8/9 game is North Carolina and Wisconsin.
Good. No UNC as an 8 seed for M.
Baylor got a tough road IMO.
I’m guessing we stayed a 1 seed
Buckeyes rolling to the Elite 8..
Certainly looks that way doesn't it
#1 Michigan Wolverines
#16 Online Community College Trolls
WD's school has a basketball team?
MSU will have to be in this bracket if they made it....thinking Illinois will be the #1 in this region and I doubt they would put the Spartans in the same bracket as Michigan.
They’d be fine with MSU and Michigan in the same region if they’re on opposite sides of it, which would be the case, whether they are a 10 or 11. More likely for Michigan to have MSU than Maryland, since we’ve played Maryland 3 times.
They’ll jam MSU into an 11 seed with a play-in game.
Moving rapidly through this draw.
YES! Loyola-Chicago is the 8 seed in Illinois' region.
That’s a tough 8/9 for Illinois
Sister Jean is decidedly someone else’s problem now
Until Championship Monday.
Illinois gets to deal with Cunningham.
Look for Liberty on the Upset Alert in round one for Ok St.
How the hell did Syracuse sneak in again? Jeebus.
IL just got a terrible draw
