Whatever. These pics are for recruits to see so i'm sure they don't really care who made it but appreciate the gesture. I just don't want to hear a big story about it. Hopefully our twitter-art-photoshop guy makes something even better next year and then someone else will copy it because it's awesome.

WHat's he supposed to do?  Roll over and die?

Michigan has been mining New Jersey for insane talent over the past 4 years...Guy needs to start taking on the bully.  In nothing else, this is free PR for his down-trodden program.

WHen Harbaugh at Stanford started calling out Carrol at USC, it seemed absurd, but eventually he turned the tide the "bully."

I doubt Ash has the resources, coaching acumen, or ability to present a true challenge to Harbaugh, but dude has to try.

The issue is that he isn't innovating, he's imitating. It's trying to beat Harbaugh using Harbaugh tactics without Harbaugh resources nor Harbaugh hype. In RPS terms, it's like waiting until your opponent throws rock, and then throwing rock yourself. This makes me less angry than desperate on Rutgers' behalf. Don't they have any ideas? Can't they do something that Michigan can't? Why are we closer to NJ recruits when Rutgers is right down the road? I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking at tape of Michigan's offense and saying to themselves "let's run that exact scheme against Michigan, because hey it works for them." May God have mercy on their souls, because he sure as hell didn't have any for their brains.

It's easier now than after you post a dismal w-l record. Maybe a war with Harbaugh is a good idea for Ash. He's got a local hack trumpeting his cause.

I'm not so sure about his judgment. Why bring in OSU? He doesn't need that kind of an ally. Has he forgotten who Meyer hired to replace him? Schiano was brought in to compete with Harbaugh in NJ. Also, his coaching hires are not an impressive group, especially in comparison to what Durkin assembled. Time will tell, but I think Ash is in over his head. It's a tough job.

It says something that they copied Harbaugh and didn't even think to try to improve it at all. I honestly don't understand the mentality that comes up with "well, I guess that their idea is the Platonic ideal of connecting with recruits, and we shall do no more than they." This isn't just laziness. It's indicative of a complete lack of creativity...

Seriously.  Who is their natural rival?  Connecticut?  They had one relevant game versus USF about 8 years ago.  Other than that what is a Rutger?

I don't care a lick about Rutgers.

But I do care about recruiting in the state of New Jersey.  So since they are the "home" school, we can't completely ignore them the way we would do if these antics were coming from Purdue.

So what may seem like us paying too much attention to Rutgers is really us paying attention to the recruiting environment in New Jersey.  They are just background noise, but they are still there nonetheless, with an OSU assistant as a head coach.

They probably are worth keeping an eye on from time to time.

He is confirming what we and the rest of CFB knows and that is Harbaugh knows what the hell he is doing because he knows success. It's that simple.
