Rivals250? Sure why not

Rivals250 apparently came out today: http://michigan.rivals.com/viewrank.asp?ra_key=2303 Various people of interest: Ricardo comes in at 123, Gardner at 177, Jerald at 238, Jeremy is not in the 250 Other random people: Tai-ler Jones is at 101, de'joshua johnson is 114, brennan clay is 112, kenny shaw and caleb lavey did not make the 250, Bolden at 234, and Nick Montana at 239 (not that we'll try to get him, but I wondered if he was actually good or if he was just an over-hyped celebrity kid) lastly, if you needed more proof that texas is doing well in recruiting: http://michigan.rivals.com/commitlist.asp?Year=2010&School=81&Sport=1

yeah, I realize many liken rankings and stars as the only way to determine how good a player is, but I'll leave that decision up to the coaches who probably have a much better idea about a player than scouts do. UM will again haul in a good class and it will be up to the coaches to mold them into good college players.

he hasn't mentioned us. but at the same time I don't think he's really mentioned anyone just yet. as for the rest of the 250 there are a number of guys we're high on like Daryl Baldwin and Derrick Bryant, in addition to Jeremy Jackson, that aren't in the 250 either. Oh well. A year ago nobody was high on Toussaint or Bell either but people eventually came around.

Well, he's mentioned a number of schools repeatedly, but also said that the only "for sure" school that will be in his top five come signing day is Minnesota. He's also said that he will not be committing until signing day. Kid is an absolute beast from what I've seen.

Did anybody watch the video of barwis discussing the early enrolees? If so can someone tell me who he talked highly of. Just a summary would be nice. Thx

Holy shit. That is amazing recruiting. Kind of like Ohio St last year, but was Ohio St up to 19 by this point last year? I don't know. That's recruiting on crack. The Rivals250 is interesting, but it's bound to change a bit. You never know. The 5* recruits tend to stay 5* for the most part, but it will be cool to see what happens. Also, this past year has given reason to be wary of early commitments, or at least not to think that anything is set in stone. Hopefully they stick with Mich.

Kinda surprised not to see Austin White up there -- he was in the Rivals 250 to watch and the initial Scout 100. Coulda been his forty time that killed him. He doesn't really have a good second gear, but he's really, really shifty.
