I said as of today, still long way to go I think “@theist313: @stephenjnesbitt @rivalsmike though he wasn't making a decision until Dec?”

Couple very good sources “@bzillmer: @rivalsmike Best news I've heard all day. What made you change your mind from yesterday?”

Sorry for the ugly twitter embed. Still working on that. Since Mike Farrell has been more on the Virginia Tech side on Hand's recruitment, this would seem a good sign.

Sixteen in the clip and one in the hole...

R.I.P. Nate Dogg. Gone too soon. Now I have to listen to Ryan Lewis do what is, in my mind, a budget imitation of Nate Dogg's soulful hooks. I mean, come on- "Ain't No Fun"? "The Next Episode"? Sheeeeeit. He wrote the blueprint on being the dude who only sings hooks.

...and I'm completely baffled by it.

Is all the sub sandwich talk some kind of code to confuse the NSA or something?  I definitely feel like I'm out of the loop.  But if I must, forget the chain outfits and stay local.  Brookline Spa until I die!

I saw a Rival's paywalled interview w/ Farrell and Hand at the Five Star Challenge, where Hand suggests that his top 2 is no longer VT and UM, yet he still has a top 2... *COMMENCE BASELESS CONJECTURE*

For those of you w/ a Rival's account. $[Link]$

I was kind of looking at this as well. We went to a 50% or greater chance when it was Va. Tech and us to now 33% or who knows what with three teams. Although the Rivals thoughts are good I guess.

He had a top 5 that included VT and SC (I think). So IF this information is correct, we went from being one of five to being one of three.

Besides, not all teams in a "Top ____" are inherently equal. Michigan and VT were universally regarded as the top two, and dropping one of one's two is automatically good news for the other member of the top two.

It's a lawyer thing, where you answer a question presuming a premise that you don't really agree with.

I assume that VT and Michigan are still his top 2. I was mostly pointing out that Florida and Alabama are a bigger threat than VT just because they are normally the biggest competition for Generic Five-Star Recruit. Getting VT out of the picture would be better news for Michigan than for anyone.

Having VT out of the race is of course good news....  no reasonable fan will argue that.  However, a two way race with VT is a much better scenario than a three way race with Florida and Alabama....  no reasonable person should argue that either.

A long way to February.....  and his top teams will likely continue to fluctuate..... but I much prefered the previous scenario.
