Hate this for him, but there are at least two things that will help him keep his head up:

  1. ACL tears are practically a nothing injury in the long run these days.
  2. This is a good year to sit out as the Packers are going nowhere.

He was such a whining, yelling, complaining baby during the game yesterday and he has been for years.

The narrative that he's the only one frustrated is such trash and him being visibly frustrated at teammates on the field and on the sideline makes me dislike him more and more.  The 5 game losing streak couldn't be happening to a bigger whiner.

I know they can handle ACL injuries pretty well these days, and he should be able to get back to top form, but what a bummer given that he's been playing so well.

An aside, but anyone else a fan of the videos that Rashan has been doing with the Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens?

I have really been impressed with the progress Gary has made in the NFL.  He was always good, but I know there were concerns that his pass rush ability (aka bend) wasn't going to translate enough to be an every down DE at that level.  He's really improved and I know the Packers and their fans have been really happy with him lately.  (I live near the IL/WI border and thus am surrounded with their fans.)

In some ways I think Gary's progression is a good model for Hutchinson to strive for.  Aiden is being asked to be an every down do-everything guy as a rookie for a bad defense so that's tough, but he's also learning that his effort and motor aren't enough to be an impact DE at this level.  Learning other tricks, expanding his skills, getting stronger/faster - all things Gary has done - will be useful for him going into next season.
