Get well soon Eli. This team has no depth without you.

Seems like teams have figured out the offense a bit especially since Illinois. Need some more creativity. Livers is MIA. Franz has been sloppy as of late.

Figure M has to be the 4th #1 at this point unless it gets farther in the BIG Tourney than Illinois.

To be honest, the last two loses make me more convinced that Howard is a great coach.  Talent-wise, this team has overachieved by a mile.  Wagner is only real NBA prospect right now-- Livers will play as an 3 and D guy, but he's a supplemental player even in college.  JB was a master talent evaluator and offensive mind, but he wasn't a recruiter.  The dude left because he hated that aspect of the job so much.   You've got an Ivy league transfer and an supplemental guy from Wake Forest as your starter and sixth man, and both of those Howard had to go get.  Brooks is a league average dude in his senior year, who we desperately need back because the bench is that thin.  Davis is, IMHO, worse than league average as a back-up (I know he can score, but he turns the ball over a bunch for a post player, fouls like crazy, and isn't a good rebounder).  Zeb is still very young, and the rest of the dudes are freshmen or guys who shouldn't be playing on a good Big 10 team.

The only exception is Johns, who has the recruiting rankings seems to have regressed, which you could put on Howard.  Otherwise, he's pulled together a league-title from zero star-level players,  two high level talents (Wagner and Dickinson), and spare parts.  That's often life in the NBA, since you usually can't afford talent 1 through 5, but in college you can do that, and I think he's moving in that direction.  If he can get this much success from this level of talent and recruits better than his precedecessor, then there is no ceiling.

Honestly,  Everyone is talking about Eli's ankle like it fell off.

NCAA's are 12 days away.  A losable game 14 days.  He will be fine.

He was in a boot before, he missed 1 game

Big Ten tourney is whatever to me.  Its fun of you're hot.  But we've played so many games with a short bench.. They are tired, so many shots were short this week and Dickinson may have hit the freshman wall

We seem to be lacking the killer instinct that got us to where we were before Illinois happened.  The team looked disengaged and fatigued in that game.  And they didn't look much better today.  The win over State in the last game felt more like State shooting itself in the foot than us really taking it to them.  Now with Brooks' near future in doubt, I have serious concerns going forward.  The big 3 -- Livers, Wagner and Dickinson need to be the leaders that they are and start cracking skulls again (figuratively, of course).

If this game was not worth, coach should have rested his starters and let the bench get after the Spartan. Our bench does not get much playing time and we will need a good bench in the tournament since the refs call a lot more fouls and many of our starters will have to spend some stretches on the bench not to foul out. This was perfect game to have the bench start and the starters rest.

What a disappointing way to end the season..lose 2 of 3 get blown out at home against Illinois then beat MSU by 19 and turn around and play like crap lose to MSU and 2 players injured. This has all the makings of a disaster going forward

This team went from potentially having the chance to be the #1 overall seed in the big dance, to possibly being a #2 seed in the tournament completely forgetting how to play offense in the span of less than 2 weeks.

NOT how you want to be playing entering March Madness.

Yikes.

You'd think with bench that goes 8 deep, we'd be able to cover for Eli, but no.

The MSU game Sunday was soooo frustrating to watch. If our guys can't drain the shots from the floor, we lose. Defense will go only so far.
