OT/NotCC/NotJH: Question about UM Student Clubs

I had a question for the current students/recent grads. Are there any other singing groups at UM other than the Men's and Women's Glee Club on campus? Longish story cut short, one of the four professional sports teams in Detroit has asked me to book a UM student singing group to do the National Anthem and they've recently had both Glee Clubs. Is there any other group who fits the bill?

I am currently in an a cappella group on campus, the Dicks and Janes. We often do gigs such as this, if you would like to enquire about booking, you can email [email protected]! If you want a sample of our singing, we have a few videos up on Youtube if you search our name.

Just to bring this thread back home, have you ever envisioned the Freshmen on the team actually learning the lyrics and melody to "The Victors" so that they can sing it as a team post-game? I serve as the Business Manager for the Michigan G-Men and I'm writing in response to your request.

We would be really thrilled at the opportunity to perform the national anthem for any of the Detroit teams to show our support!

To tell you a little bit about us, we're an A Cappella group at the University of Michigan that has been ranked in the top 10 groups in the country for the past 3 years and we've really enjoyed opportunities to perform for events such as this. During this time, we have performed for graduation at Michigan Stadium, for the Rose Awards at the Fox Theater, privately for President Obama, and for the past two years at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella for sold out shows in Times Square.
