OT: Zingerman’s makes doughnuts on the weekends? They are spectacular

I assume this is not well known? Only avail at their Bakehouse location by the airport and Costco. Sunday morning they had a chocolate glazed yeast doughnut and a sweet ricotta-filled doughnut. I’m not really a donut guy but they were both easily the best I’ve ever had. 10 out of 10.

Dom’s…

I believe ownership has changed and they aren’t quite as good as they once were.

Vincent Van Donut in south St Louis is pretty great.
Hurt’s Donut in Little Rock by the state capital is like art work.
I’ll fight someone to find a better chain than Shipleys in Texas, just yeast glazed donuts, but simple can be perfect.
For small mom and pops donuts, Brownwood on Torch Lake, but expect a wait and they sell out quick. Go with Mar’s maple glazed donuts if you stop by.

I need to go to the gym for about 4 hours now after thinking about all the donuts I’ve ate.

I remember living a block away from Detroit street while in school.  It wasn’t so expensive back then and it was just a small little deli.  It sounds like they are everywhere now and the price has quadrupled.  That’s too bad.  The food is still amazing.

I lived in NYC and ordered a reuben at one of the famous delis.  It was garbage compared to Zingermans.

I’ll skip the donuts.  At my age, you eat those things and you turn into a doughnut.

I have just been made aware on Saturday they do a cruller doughnut, Sunday they do the chocolate glazed yeast and sweet ricotta filled doughnuts. All three are only about two bucks each.
