Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze is probably one of my favorite childhood movies
Is there some inside joke I'm unaware of that makes the Fast and Furious movies cool to like (the new Chuck Norris)? The few I've seen were terrible.

You're correct...
The first sucked balls as well
That is factually false.
Godfather
Star Wars
Fast & Furious
Major League
Meet the Parents ( trilogy funny )
Police Academy is my favorite series. I also enjoyed the Meet the Parents Movies/Fockers.

Lots of urban legends floating around Grand Rapids about who those characters were based on. Great series if you were a teen when those movies came out.

None of these are in order, but...
Already named: Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Man with No Name Triology, LOTR, The Thin Man, The Godfather, Toy Story, James Bond
Not Named: Pink Panther (mostly Sellers, but I love Steve Martin too), Naked Gun
Guilty Pleasure/Runner Up: Die Hard, Alien, Rush Hour, Rocky, Bourne, Austin Powers, Jack Ryan, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, Back to the Future, Dirty Harry, Ocean's
Star Wars
Indiana Jones
Godfather
Bill and Ted
...and Bogus Journey is better than the fantastic original
Last King of Scotland
The Dictator
The Bunker
Back to the Future
Indiana Jones, the last one doesn't count. Crystal skulls was awful.
The first three Die Hards
Marvel movies
Dark Knight series
Classic:
- Star Wars
- Alien
- Bond
Modern:
- X-Men/Iron Man
- The Christopher Nolan Batman films
- Hunger Games
Indy/Foreign:
- Chan-Wook Park's "Revenge" Trilogy (Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengence, Lady Vengence)
- Stieg Larsson's Millenium series (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Girl Who Played with Fire, Gril Who Kicked the Hornets Nest)
- City of God/City of Men
I kid, I kid.
On another note, which part of a series was the bigger letdown/shitshow? godfather 3 or Rocky V? The last Bourne flick was not good but not, not good enough to get lumped in with these 2
Matrix 3 was the worst follow up movie of all time and its not close.
only happened to prove that, yes, you CAN make more disappointing follow-up movies than the Star Wars prequels.

The first two Beverly Hills Cops are pretty great. Well, maybe just the first one.

I have seen Taken and Taken 2, but not 3 yet. I really want to see it, though, but am waiting for it to be on Netflix or HBO. Taken is great. Taken 2 is good, but not as great as Taken.
And a shout out to Toy Story... May they realize that they should stop at 3.
