OT: The Yin and Yang of Basketball
I realized I just cracked 100 and shouldn't be making threads (feel free to neg away - I will start it off).
Thought the board would enjoy this podcast by 99% invisible.
TL;DL
It's about 20 mins long and dicusses some of the hidden politics behind basketball, specifically how racism, genetics, and the civil rights movement made the game what it is today.

This is a great podcast in general. I listened to this episode earlier this morning and can speak for everyone on the board that they will love it. Or not. But maybe yes.

You shouldn't be posting threads. Especially ones about racism and civil rights.

about basketball. Unfortunately, we don't live in a world where sports isn't affected by politics, etc.
And anybody with enough points should be able to post.

It's a podcast that talks about basketball. The OP says (in the post) that it touches on those topics. I mean, this place can get hairy, but usually if it isn't too inflammatory people can have civil discussions about those topics, especially within the context of sport.

I think this podcast does a good job of showing the effects of sports into the world we live in, including yes politics and social issues.
To me that makes this post okay.
