OT: Yearly MGoAvatar Roll Call
As noted by LSA, the end of the OT period is on the horizon and frankly I've never been so ambivalent towards the beginning of the CFB season. I have no idea what to expect and BPONE-induced drinking seems likely going into Harbaugh's... --checks notes-- 7th year? We'll cheer, we'll cry and we might even get laid if that waitress at Shenanigans stops spurning my advances. All hope is not lost!
With that said, indulge the MGoWorld and let us know about your goofy, likely Michigan-themed avatar and why it "checks out".
I'll go first: Mine is David Wooderson and the gang from the film Dazed and Confused standing outside the Emporium. If you haven't seen the movie, it's a coming of age film based around the hijinks following the last day of school in a small (I believe Texas) town. Fun film and good soundtrack with the classic quotes you've all heard before. My avatar has no connection to my username or UM sports and just a random picture honestly.

I just changed mine after like 9 years. This is me and my son back in May at the D3 College World Series, right before he got the win in a must win game against Webster. We were saying goodbye to him here and had no idea he was starting the next game because he didn't tell us! It was a last minute decision and of course we would've stayed had we known. But he pitched the night before so we didn't think they'd put him in, or maybe an inning at most. He ended up pitching 8 and getting the win. Very proud.

My avatar is Maya Bay in Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands. I was there the first time in 1998 before it was featured in the movie The Beach. The boat driver told us “your Leanardo was here” and I’m thinking WTF does Da Vinci have to do with an island in Thailand. (DiCaprio wasn’t big yet.) The beach was empty except for the 3 of us from our boat. Years later it was overrun by tourists.
As for username, my fandom was waning when Hole was nearing the end. Really loved Brady’s enthusiasm. Harbaugh coming on board reignited my enthusiasm.

PS - Promised myself I would never complain about M football after the 97 season. So many college fans never get to experience something that rewarding. And I was able to attend almost every game with highlights being Judgement Day and the Rose Bowl. So GO BLUE!

Mine is of my 2 boys, the pic is 4 years old now. It was taken next to Grandpa Bullet. My oldest was fortunate enough to take it to prom (he did have a date as well). Now my oldest is a Sr at CMU and my youngest start HS.
FYI - High School football starts this week and my youngest is the starting MIKE and Tailback on the Freshman team (though they are going to do RB by committee). Watch out for Lake Orion football coming up in the next few years. These boys have dominated through the age group levels. Just scrimmaged against Detroit CC and played well..... High hopes and expectations set forth for these guys....

My old avatar was from 10 years ago when my in-laws in Wichita, KS wanted to try this new restaurant called Twin Peaks, that they thought was a steak house. Turns out it was a sports bar with slightly dressed young ladies who were the waitresses (I think it was to compete against Hooters). Anyway, the in-laws were a bit taken back but we ate there anyways. I was wearing my Michigan T-shirt and one of the waitresses, who grew up in Michigan and was a wolverine fan, wanted a picture with me. The wife said OK, then two of her other friends jumped in the picture. So, I had 3 hot young ladies putting their arms around me in a group picture. But after sexy bits was a big deal I took that picture down. Even Mr. Grow Old took down his sexy wife's picture, with stick figure to represent his sexy wife (sorry about your divorce Mr. Grow Old, hopefully you have found someone new).

Boating with the family is probably my favorite hobby/pastime these days. This is the brand I'm repping. Old one used to be of me and Brandon Graham after his last OSU game. Awesome dude and a great family.
