OT: Winter Classic moved to Saturday night

The NHL Winter Classic between the "Shitts-burg" Penguins and Washington Capitals has been moved from 1pm to 8pm tomorrow due to forecasted rain and warm temperatures. So looks like we can watch the Gator bowl, Rose bowl, and then this game. Very OT but I just thought I'd point out that the Big Chill had perfect weather conditions and this game has pretty much the worst. Just proof that GOD HATES CROSBY.

Wont ever happen the NHL hates the Wings..IIRC they asked the NHL about staging a double header with the Big Chill on Saturday and then a Wings game on Sunday but they shot it down because "you just had a game outdoors" I mean why would we ever give a showcase to the team every other team tries to model themselves after?

This surprises me--do you have a source?  Why would Michigan take one of the best showcases for college hockey in general and Michigan Hockey in particular, and turn it into a pre-game for the Red Wings?  I don't buy it.  Say what you will in other threads, but I am sure that Dave Brandon is smarter than that.

Any Red Wings game at the Big House would have taken all of the media focus and local fan focus off of the Michigan-Michigan State game and put it on to the Red Wings, who don't really need the help.
