OT: Wings vs. Kings open thread
We had a pistons thread, why not have a hockey thread for any detroit fans staying up for the sports double-header (or for any of you kings fans out there).
Wings down 1 with 11 minutes left in the 2nd. Started off very shaky but the game has gotten much more even and exciting.

Kings are just on fire lately with 7 straight wins, and they don't look like they are letting up much tonight. At least the game looks a bit more even now after a real rough start for the Wings.

We are totally outplaying these guys. The Kings are just so physical though.

It really shows how important Z is to this team. We just don't have that confident puck control and cycling in the offensive zone. There's no one better in the league that Hank at controlling the puck and cycling along the boards, and he frees up so much room for Pavel to work his magic. Tonight without Z, the Kings are all over Pavel.

Zetterberg and Datsyuk havent played together in a very long time, not sure how Zetts opens things up for Datsyuk when they are on two different lines....

This game shows how desperatly the wings need a big hitting forward. Pair that sucker up with Datsyuk and his only job is A) hit anyone who thinks about touching Datsyuk, B) and be ready to shoot when Datsyuk passes you the puck....
