OT-For what else do you have an EUTM?

My 11 year old daughter has a golf tournament today. She is getting ridiculously good. In some of her tournaments she is allowed to have a caddy, and in some she has to carry her own bag. I so often have to work and miss her rounds, but today I get to caddy for her, and see every shot. It's 3:30 in the morning, and I can't sleep because I'm so excited! I've cleaned her clubs, been over every hole online, and have her bag filled with balls, tees, water, ball markers, divot repair, band aids, range finder, towels, granola, etc.. My favorite thing in the world is to watch her stick a 9 iron to 6 feet from 125 out! What do you attack with an Enthusiasm Unknown to Mankind?

so you are welcome to ask questions if they come up.  11 acres is big enough to get you going, and you can pack a lot into that space to be productive, raise some of your own food, and sell some on the side to make some money.

we do beef, lamb, chickens, turkeys, eggs, and dairy, and we have some goats too.   no hormones, pesticides, herbicides, steroids or vaccines, and all our livestock is pastured.

we live up north and have done this since we got back home about 12 yrs ago.

Is farming your full-time job?  I'm guessing so with all of that going on!  Nice going on the all natural care for the animals - I'm sure your food tastes fantastic.  We get our milk from a local farm along with our eggs & order our meats from another farm.  We buy a lot of food in bulk (ex. 100 pounds of oatmeal is eaten each year by my wife, 6 year old, & 4 year old - I don't have too much of it) and grab food from local farms when we can.  Me getting into hunting (deer & rabbits) helped get us on the path of more natural foods & prepping more of our own food.  How much land do you have?

Not to be too much of a softie, but reading your post brought me a lot of joy. It's so, so awesome to see how excited you are for your daughter and to be involved! As a fellow golfer, I enjoyed reading through the list of what you did to get ready, also.

Best of luck to you and your daughter, and keep showering her with love, care, and attention. Kudos to you.
