Yeah, USMNT is usually on Fox. Not sure why the qualifying games have been on CBS.

Is there any way around it without having a Paramount+ subscription (which is just the successor to the single worst streaming service in history, CBS all access)?

I guess if worst come to worst I could always try to find a Spanish language station showing it.

New here, but had been wondering same thing about the away games being on Paramount+. Basically the home team owns the TV rights, so for these September and upcoming October away games an intermediary has sold them as a package to Paramount+. Fox and ESPN own the rights to games played in the US.

As for a Paramount+ subscription, you can sign up for a 7 day free trial. If you've already done that, as I did for the Nations League games this summer, my tip is that if you are an Amazon Prime user you can add a Paramount+ Premium subscription for $0.99 per month for the first 2 months. Just cancel before the regular $9.99 price kicks in. This would cover you for tonight and the October game away at Panama.

(And if you have young kids, it also gets you access to the Paw Patrol Movie for some extra brownie points!)

It's just a Broadcast rights thing.

Fox purchased the domestic rights to the USMNT home matches. As such, they're choosing to put most of those on FS1 (maybe a Fox game or two).

CBS purchased the "road" games for broadcast in the United States. They're choosing to put those on Paramount+ to push subscriptions for their soccer content along with Champs Lge., Nations Lge., and Serie A.

Longtime fans should know not to complain, there was a time in the past 10 years even, where you just couldn't find a USMNT away qualifying match on TV unless it was against Mexico. Then you had BEINSport in standard def, well into the HD world. Only really within the last two WCs have we been able to get all qualifying matches on TV.

So, as much as I don't particularly care for the CBS Sports broadcast, the ability to watch an away qualifying match, LIVE, in HD, from my couch, is a luxury I know better than to take for granted.

I would imagine it is host country and Honduras is central time.  Yes, there could be any myriad of factors influencing the game time, most probably a lot more practical to Honduras than "how do we help America viewership?" which they might actively want to suppress, in fact.

Important guys missing:

Weston McKennie MF (Juventus) - Violated COVID protocol sent back to Italy to his club team

Sergino Dest RB (Barcelona) - Sprained/Twisted Ankle vs Canada OUT

Zack Steffan GK (Man City) - COVID+

Important guys playing: Pulisic, Sargent - experienced up front. Pepi young and getting his first start for US. Tyler Adams & Miles Robinson important in the back.

Those three are among the best on the team. Then you have other key losses like Tim Weah, Yunus Musah, Gyasi Zardes who are big losses right now with injuries and depth playing a role, plus experience in Zardes.

Know it is early but not exactly an inspiring first 10 minutes. Hopefully just Honduras with some extra early energy in front of the home crowd.

Yikes. This team does not appear to have its shit together tonight. 1-0 Honduras.

The McKennie thing is such a fucking sideshow / distraction - last thing this group needed right now.

Wow…. 28 minutes in and watching Honduras dominate the midfield, showing much crisper passing, and scoring a nice goal on the beautiful low header! This US team is the usual disappointment…lackluster, low percentage passing, poor first touches, and no coherent strategy, at least not so far. Brooks looks so slow out there, and Pulisic has ZERO help on the attack. WTF.

2 points through 3 games would be absolutely pathetic. 4 was what anyone would have realistically been hoping for as a reasonably low bar. Better at least escape with another draw.

We're playing 2 midfielders that can't hold the ball and a goalie that is awful with his feet. Swap Adams & Acosta, bring in (ugh) Lledget for Sands and we should do better. Going back in time and starting Horvath at GK would help too.

Honestly, we're limited by injuries and poor roster selection. The options on the bench aren't amazing, but Berhalter managed to select the worst possible lineup out of the weak roster he put together.
