OT: Two of the "Three Stooges" have been fired in Cleveland
Mike Lombardi has been fired as Browns GM and Joe Banner will be stepping down as team CEO. Ray Farmer (who recently turned down the Dolphins GM job and now we know why) has been announced as Lombardi's replacement.
Thank God.

I live in Ohio and grew up being a Browns fans and a Michigan fan, I am not going to change teams ever just because we are losing like 80% of the Steelers fans in Ohio. Yes Goldhammer is the worst guy on the radio.

Riz makes me laugh, but it's not worth it to listen to him if I have to hear Goldhammer's voice. I never thought I could dislike a radio personality more than Kenny Roda, then Hammer came along, Fedor was a douche too.

I dislike everyone at WKNR except Aaron and Tony. Bruce isn't too bad, but the others are just terrible. I hate Roda, Munch, and Brinda the most.

I don't mind Jerod. His analysis is generally reasonable.
Munch is the worst...like ever.

I'm a Browns fan, as I reside in Cleveland, but this franchise will never win simply because people keep getting fired. I'm so glad I like college sports more. The only pro sport I really love is the NHL. I like the NFL, but it bores me fairly often.

you....oh... I see... Well, why didn't you say so in the beginning?
The first mistake goes back several years now when somebody thought it was a good idea to give any sports team a nickname like "Browns".

Haslam on Banner: "He's set us up for success, and now it's time to move forward".
Which part set them up for success? The draft? The Chud fiasco? Coaching search?
Srsly.

Almost as funny as Cavs owner Dan Gilbert saying HC Mike Brown "has everything he needs to be successful on the roster" after he fired the GM who put the roster together Chris Grant.
OIC.

no snark intended. Today is a good day for Cleveland Browns fans. Lombardi and Banner could have been replaced with a bent 7 iron and a two-legged tripod and the Browns still would have performed addition by subtraction. Replacing them with actual, honest to God, know what they're doing in their roles people who have the respect of others around the league? Yahtzee! Scheiner and Farmer are both rising stars with a bullet, and I'm glad Haslam didn't futz around and risk losing them because he was worried that the mainstream media would make fun of him.
Rumor is Haslam never wanted Banner to begin with, but Banner was forced on him by the NFL. Ehh whatever, it's all revisionist history now, but at the end of the day, the Browns are better today than they were yesterday.
The only "negativity" you will see/hear about this will come from national media types who are "friends" with Lombardi. Of course they're going to have to take up for their boy. And not for nothing, but they all just lost a good source as well. So, there will be sreeches heard from the national level, plus everyone loves to swing at low hanging fruit.
Good luck Lombardi, maybe your pal Bill Belichik will give you a job in New England like he did after Al Davis fired you. Oh wait, not even Belichik would hire you, BECAUSE YOU SUCK

In what universe is the Cleveland job better than the Miami job?

Obviously the guy loves being an hour away from Cedar Point

Well he was assistant GM here, so going to the dolphins would be a promotion.

The Cavs on paper are better than a 18 win team, Mike Brown is a terrible coach and always has been. The old Cavs team he coached won all those games because of Lebron, his go to play was Lebron drive or shoot everyone else be ready. Thats there offence now but Kyrie isnt Bron, my rec team runs more plays than the Cavs.
