OT: True Detective finale may be the best episode of tv ever
Every scene was perfect, from the acting and writing to the cinematography and sound. I know it’s the night of the oscars but this stole the show.
Sorry, I’m sure everyone is still pissed about the game, but I just had to write this down before the moment passed.

I only recently watched the first season of TD . I watched the second season every week when it was coming out .
Since it was so bad .I had no interest to watch the first season .
I heard many people say how good Season one was . So I made some time and binge watched it a few weeks ago in one day . Aside from seeing Alexandra Daddario ,I didnt think season one was very good either .
Maybe its the suspense of watching it at all at once as opposed to the suspense of waiting for the next episode.
I was very under whelmed by Stranger Things as well and thought maybe it was because of the binge watching .
I think its less because of the binge watching and more due to your suspect taste.

Justified had a really awesome series finale. If there are any fans of Deadwood that have not watched Justified, I highly recommend this show. The first episode really grabs your attention and each season gets better and better.

Great season finale!! Great editing, all the decades were woven together seamlessly. Ali and Dorff might get Emmy nominations.

It was good, but I felt a little disappointed. I was actually kind of hoping that Hayes would say something like "Thanks for the water Julie" and walk off to his car. The whole season he was battling his memory, I wanted him to have some control.
I did really like the aspect that Roland had no idea about that, so when he showed up at the end, on the porch, he really did have closure.

Saw the title of this post then refused to read the thread because I hadn't seen it yet. You got me so excited for the finale. To each his own, but I ended up being very disappointed. This season was decent, but it was hard to get worse than season 2. One thing I did enjoy is Dorff deserved this shot, and he knocked it out of the park. One thing that bothered me with Ali is when he was old I could barely understand a word he said.
Best episode of TV ever? This didnt even touch the 6 min continuous shot in at the end of episode 4 in season 1, or the Merv Griffin set episode of Seinfeld.

Thought it was a great season overall. The fun of this show is watching it every week and discussing different theories with your friends/spouse. Hope the series continues. The scenes with Roland and Hays were great acting, emotion, humor and friendship. Hays’s wife was phenomenal. Don’t know her from any other shows, but she is a great actor. Really enjoyed it.
I love True Detective but that last episode basically ruined the whole season.
****SPOILER******
The boys death was an accident
The mom knew the entire time who had her daughter
The Detective ends up taking vow of silence but he's basically solved the case 20 years ago
There was no real tie into the other seasons. What a stupid bunch of crap. No imagination what so ever.
