OT: Tigers destroying Pirates while Harbaugh is third base coach

Submitted by Chicken22 on

The Detroit Tigers are beating the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning. Harbaugh is the third base coach. The Tigers lost yesterday's game 4-2 without Harabugh coaching. Coincidence?

He mentioned it in the pre-game interview, and that picture from Tigers' twitter confirms it (unless spring training fields are laid out WAY different than a regular baseball field).

A noted baseball fan, Harbaugh set two goals for himself. First and foremost, don't let a Detroit runner get picked off first base. "And then, secondly," he said, "don't get hit by a line drive." Harbaugh successfully crossed the top item off his list in the first inning, when Tigers left fielder Tyler Collins stole second base despite an early send from the fill-in first-base coach. As for the second part of his plan, Harbaugh left the game unharmed after three innings. "He was into it. I think he enjoyed it," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. "It was good to have him on the bench. There was a lot of discussion going on in the time that he was there. ... It was fun to have him. He was into the game."

even though the announcer said he was taking "time off from recruiting," which is wrong on several levels.  Should have said "spring practice."  But then again, I'm pretty sure in his head, Harbaugh never takes time off from recruiting.

Harbaugh without the signature khakis? Imposter! That is his stunt double while he is covertly breaking every recruiting violation there is.
