Let's go Reds! Make my earlier than usual Saturday awakening worthwhile, gentlemen.
Could be a tricky game without Henderson and Lallana. I think Phil will drop back into the midfield and hopefully see more of the ball than he does on the wing. Up the reds!
Firmino/Coutinho/Mané behind Origi?
With the soccer matchups dude.
I know the others that downvote are mad that this isn't an update about what Harbaugh is wearing nowadays, but this is good stuff.
No I actually love these updates just not when I could find better soccer played by some dudes in the Arb. Apologies if anyone is a huge fan of Nancy.
a bunch of games on channels that most people don't have, at times most people can't watch, then it sort of defeats the purpose of having a thread.

That makes absolutely no sense.
It's a thread about the games. You have no idea who can and can't watch the games. I actually have access with Verizon to watch those games on beIN with my phone. Free service.
And if they can't, who cares? We can still talk about them, right?
Odd comment.

I realize this doesn't apply to everybody. I like soccer and I watch EPL on the weekends because the games are at an IDEAL time. There is literally nothing else on in the mornings on the weekends.
That said, I feel OT threads should be weighed by their popularity. If I start an OT thread about my Uncle Bob and nobody gives a shit, then that thread is a waste of space and it clutters the board. Who decides what's popular enough? Well, nobody does. It's the Wild West out here.
My personal metric is that if a thread isn't going to get 30 posts (about the subject itself, not including the meta posts bitching about said thread), then it's not worth the space. In terms of soccer threads, that's basically limited to EPL and World Cup qualifying.
So yes, there are people that have Bein-whatever and watch the games, there are people that live and die MLS, there are some Nancy supporters somewhere that are going apeshit that they can talk about their team on mgoblog. But they aren't enough to make 30 posts.

Before the spring game, and the months after the spring game, there's nothing to talk about. Rashan Gary's 40, Harbaugh's switch to lululemon, 89x, there's NOTHING going on.
Open soccer threads that are one (count em, one) post on the entire board are fine. Stop worrying so much about rules and regulations. People around here are so careful to make any noise. People participate in the soccer discussion. Whether or not it's 15 or 90 people that respond, who cares? It's an athletic sport.
I'd much rather discuss soccer with 15 fans than read opinion pieces about what Harbaugh thinks about khakis or other assorted nonsensical stuff.

You've obviously never tried lululemon.

Not bad.
I'm a Russell Athletic guy. Give me the classic cotton shorts from the 80s. I'm embracing the old man look.
Haha. Thanks man. These keyboard warriors can blow me.

That one match will be low scoring.

Means boring?
Never understood that from the soccer haters. You can pick on soccer for a lot, but low scoring is not one of them.
No doubt, meanwhile they will watch a 1-0 baseball game where it takes 3 and a half hours and countless commercial breaks to play, and say it was the greatest pitchers duel ever. I'll take a 2 hour soccer game over that bullshit any day of the week.
Man City plays Arsenal this weekend and I hope my boys put up a good game at Arsenal. That has been a tough place for us to play at, so I am hoping for a good result.
= Defensive battle.
Which is BS, because I've seen hundreds of low scoring football games throughout my time that were some of the most slop-fest, garbage riddled games one could view.

Atlanta has looked good so far; I'll be interested to see how they hold up against Seattle, though
