OT - people to tailgate with

Submitted by CJRockford on
Ok, I know this is going to sound pretty lame, but I'm in need to people to tailgate with!! I recently moved back to Michigan, having lived in Florida since I was 10 (I'm now 41). I haven't made too many friends since moving back yet, so I don't really have anyone to tailgate with. I live in the Grand Rapids area, I'm a part-time student at UM Flint and am currently a stay at home dad. So far I know I'm definitely going to the home opener, MSU, OSU and Northwestern games. If you wouldn't mind someone crashing your tailgate, let me know. I'll bring plenty of beer!! Shoot me an email [email protected] Chris

If you're into rock, barbeque, and booze, go hang out at the decked out Michigan bus that parks on stadium by the entrance to the parking lot behind crisler. It's a big mutigenerational family of Michigan alumni and students who know how to tailgate in style. If you tell them your story and give them $5-$10 for food and booze they'll welcome you into the family.

Any tailgaters whose vehicles have Ohio plates, if you see they also have coolers marked "men's" and "women's" with rolls of TP nearby.

As an Air Force Academy grad, I'm going to try an attend the AF-MSU game in September. Anyone in the blog who'd be interested in tailgating and rooting for the Mighty Falcons, let me know. I'll share my email address if there are any takers.

Off we go, into the wild blue yonder

Climbing high, into the sun

Here they come, zooming to meet our thunder

At 'em boys, give her the gun (GIVE HER THE GUN!)

Down we dive, spouting our flames from under

Off with one helluva roar

We live in fame or go down in flames

HEY, Nothing can stop the US AIR FORCE!!!!

That is the first verse, there are four of them.  The only other verse I memorized is verse 3, which is considered the "Alma mater" in a sense.  It honors those who have fallen.
