Definitely not one that Ohio State fans saw coming. It doesn't even seem like Noah Brown submitted the paperwork to get a draft grade.

It may have to do with OC Tim Beck recently being hired away to Texas, or he has a feeling that he's going to get passed by some of the younger WRs next season. I know from the last few games KJ Hill and Binjimen Victor were starting to see the field more, so maybe he saw his limited targets shrinking even further.

Either way shocking since he would have had first crack at the #1 WR position next season.

Over 500 pts, here for more than six months, but still posting to first reply to get noticed or create some derivative conversation no matter how late after the original post.

This action is not close to, but approaching being as bad as creating shitty topics, and many of the high point posters love to do this often. But satire.

Or maybe the poster is an OSU fan who is more tuned into his(her?) team so has something to contribute?  It's not like Scarlatina's being out-of-bounds rude, last I checked other teams' fans are allowed to post here, no matter how terrible their taste in teams is as long as they're not being dicks, which I don't see here.

Interesting how it seems like Bucks and Sparties can't wait to get out of town even when another year would benefit but guys like Butt, Cole, Hurst and others are loving their college experience and don't want it to end. Even Peppers who who is top ten prospect is torn to give up his time at Michigan.

I am sure Jabril feels he has more to accomplish. Montae on the other hand was getting out of Dodge. If I was a key player the last two years for OSU I think I would feel as though I had some unfinished business. Thay missed out last year on both the Big Ten and the playoffs and lost most of their team to early entry.

I think Scarlatina's post gives a pretty good answer. The Buckeyes aren't a big passing team and the younger WRs want more of the limited passes available. I thought Brown was impressive throughout the year. He's shown enough during his career that he doesn't need to further demonstrate his ability against college talent.

The only factor I don't know enough about is the quality and quantity of WRs in the NFL draft this year and next. That should have gone into his decision.

He played in 13 games as a true freshman, but wasn't targeted much. He hurt his knee and sat out 2015. This year he had 32 catches for 402 yards in an offense that minimized his opportunities. In the OSU games that I watched he was very impressive. 5 catches against OK for 72 yards and 4 TDs. 4 catches for 48 yards and a TD against Wiusconsin. 3 catches for 40 yards against M. Those are good numbers in the context of OSU's offense. He had his best games against the best teams.

I mean, I know Barrett isn't much of a passer, but you are 100% hoping teams look past your mediocre performance in college and see...6' 2", 218 lbs who struggled to get open against anyone.

Yeah, don't quite get this.

I wrote in a separate thread. It would not surprise me if Meyer is encouraging players to go make their money. He's trying to squeeze in all these new recruits and this helps the cause
