OT - Newcastle United (soccer) Set to Become Richest Club on the Planet
For those interested, it looks like the drama is finally ending and the takeover is actually going through. This year really is looking to turn things around for this otherwise depressed UM and Newcastle supporter.

I hope that the first act is to remove all of the Sports Direct signage and commit to renaming the grounds St. James' Park.

I always play as either Newcastle or Leeds in FM but...
Unfortunately no amount of money is going to make living in newcastle glamorous enough for superstars.
The last superstar to play there during their prime is, in my opinion, Alan Shearer during the mid 90s and early 2000s.
There were others who played there before their prime and left immediately after showing great potential or came during the tail end of a great player's career.
You just can't buy great weather.

Yes, the "recruits won't want to come to the north" argument. We Michigan fans should be quite familiar with it.
England is England. The weather everywhere over there is miserable. London is really no different. Only three days of extra sun per year. In fact, despite getting more rain, Seattle has far more hours of sunshine than London.

Michiganders claim to love fall, yet also claim weather in England is miserable, a place where it's basically fall year round.
Before everyone attacks me, I'm saying this tongue in cheek.
