OT: My Prediction for this year

Submitted by ThePonyConquerer on August 23rd, 2019 at 11:50 PM

Honestly, I’d say we could either go, at worst, 10-2 and a New Year’s 6 bowl and our best being straight up 12-0, along with CFPlayoff appearance.

Shea and DPJ become one of CFB’s best combo, whereas Nico and Tarik being nice complementary pieces.

The two freshman slot receivers making the offense a little more fun.

Our O-Line becomes elite.

TE is marvelous.

RB is Turner and Charbonnet becoming of the best nation’s rushing attack. Wilson providing good too.

Defense, becomes a question mark as the season goes on though.

D-Line performs adequately.

LBs other than Hudson struggle a little but prove worthy.

Safeties act good, what’s with Martellus being one of the nation’s best while Daxton Hill, Woods become good at the FS position.

CBs act well. Lavert being All-American while Anthony and Gray improve the CB2 spot.

Kicking gets rough at first but eventually, Moody and/or either Nordin becomes a quality, great college kicker.

No, no, Robf. He might conquer a Pony, because he will act well when he sobers up.

Now, as for the LB's they will not struggle. This group moving forward will only get better. Looking at next year, we will have Barrett, McGrone, and Anthony with excellent depth. The group will be a strength from next week on.

The safety play will be better than last year. Hawkins is an upgrade from Kinnel. He's much better in coverage. Metellus has more experience and is a leader. We have depth with DAX and Woods. Nickel is much improved. Well, I kind of made that last one up. We will find out if the Nickel acts well next week.

There are no issues with K/PK/P.

I know this is all OT, so take it for what it's worth......

10-2 because that's just we seem to do lately. At penn state and home against  msu are the two games I see us having a hard time winning. Until we beat a ranked team on the road at night then I'll start picking us to win. White out, tough game for us. Msu is always tough and I just have that stupid ugly feeling that they'll luck their way into victory whether it be injuries, weather, miracles idk. Also watching Jonathon Taylor's highlights makes me think that wisky game will be tougher than some fans think. We have a tough friggin schedule this year...

Speaking of "Soloman," the Freep (of course The Freep) is reporting on some FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) spouted by his new coach:

"Not sayin', but kinda sayin' ..."

So much wrong with this

Too much acting in the secondary. I'm really hoping they play rather than act.

Defense becomes a question mark, but you think 10-2 and NY6 is the floor?

Did Turner suddenly learn to block yesterday?

But I digress from the main point... Happy end of OT season!

We  had this prediction thread back in January. You must of missed it.  I predicted 9-3 back in January with losses against @WI, @PSU and OSU. I'm  thinking citrus bowl. However, if our offense can score a ton of points we could go 12-0. If our offense is not as good and our D slips a few notches we could lose close games at home against MSU and IA. I say anywhere from 7-5 to 12-0.

I am thinking there will be 3 times this season where the other team score more points than UM resulting in a loss.

Good news, bad news prediction.

Winning the B1G and making CFP? I like.

Loss to Iowa, a game my grandson and his parents are taking me to? Not so much.

And no, my avatar refuses to prophesy the outcome.

Edit: I read recently that changes to the wildlife protection laws will threaten the survival of  endangered species like Wolverines. Should we be worried?

9-3. Lose at Wisconsin, at PSU, and at home against OSU. These games are all winnable but it’s hard for me to believe it will happen.

They have to prove to me they can win big road games, and Michigan hasn’t won a big road game in over a decade. And then with OSU....yeah, that’s a loss until Michigan proves otherwise. Don’t care how good we look and how bad they look beforehand.

Show up in the Citrus Bowl, once again looking like an uninspired team that doesn’t want to be there after losing to OSU for the 8th year in a row and lose by 2 TDs to someone like Texas A&M or Auburn.
