OT - Married the right woman

Was going to put this as a diary, but the rules say off topic should be on the message board, so here goes.

 

Mrs. and I welcomed our first little Michigan fan into the world last week after a lengthy and painful (for her) process. Knowing we'd spend the better part of a week in a hospital, I prepared myself to watch the game bedside and cheer silently so as to be as courteous as possible to all present.

 

Iowa's first play from scrimmage, I choked back screaming something at the TV only to hear a booming voice from the bed next to me, "Ball!" followed by a clutch of the midsection where a pretty nice scar will soon be.

 

A bit later, after a feeding, Grandma is sitting on a chair burping the little guy and facing away from the television (father in law it seems did NOT marry the right woman!) and Nate Stanley is evidently standing in the pocket for too long a period of time.

 

Screaming voice from the bed, "Hit him!"

 

I'm sure we can all imagine in that instant what my mother in law thought the wife meant.

 

I and others may deem it appropriate to put the blame for the impotent offense on the shoulders of Shea Patterson; I sincerely hope it has nothing to do with bamf_17.
