OT: Lawsuit Filed; Now We Know Why UDM Fired Bacari Alexander
Former Michigan assistant Bacari Alexander was suspended and then fired as UD Mercy's head coach in 2017. Now we know why. In a lawsuit announced today, a player says that Alexander told him to "suck my (expletive)." LINK.
I didn't know Bacari liked dudes.
....maybe dude looked like a lady.

Bacari: Suck my dick!
JV football Head Coach: Hold my Gatorade.
so much of my resentment for authority stems from cyo football coaches
I wonder what the expletive was

Kiss. Big RHCP fan I guess.
I believe his written response to the accusation was “I am what I am. Most mofos don’t give a damn”.

That’s lawsuit worthy? Good grief, every coach I ever had, better start burying their assets.
When I was growing up, this was said at least 1000 times a season in the locker room between players, coaches etc.
Sorry, I never heard a coach to tell a player to suck his dick, but I still don't believe it should be litigated. Tell the coach to fuck off and call it a day. What are his damages?
Not sure what the damages would be. You should find a 38 minute video that tells us and post another OP.
Interesting. I was a 3 sport person-never went directly home after school-never came close to hearing a coach say such a thing. You must have been a joy to be around...you hard asses are liars or you build your own toxic environment.
Yep. I coached for 9 seasons. Never once swore at my players, let alone told them to suck my cock.
Sounds like you weren't coaching the right way.
Must not have been doing too bad. I sent more kids to college teams in my tenure than went in the previous 30 years.
I have coached football at the Jr High-Varsity levels for 10 years and never told or heard a coach tell a player to “suck my dick.” Were there arguments/cussing between coaches and players? Yes. But never did that. I don’t think it is worth going through all of this, but that is certainly something a coach should never tell a player.
Most thinking people would probably say telling a kid that is out of bounds. But I'm not sure why an apology and a reprimand from Bacari's boss wouldn't have covered that. I'm not usually of the kind that thinks American kids need to toughen up or gives speeches about it, but--unless there are further factors that mitigate--I find this one a little bit over the top. Second chances, forgiveness, all of that?
Every time some ninny uses the word toxic I get that Britney Spears song stuck in my head.
Brittany Spears, eh? So who's the ninny??
Haha, nicely done. +1
the fuck is wrong with you? environment wasn't toxic at all.
you must one of those people who reserve curse words for late at night when the kids are in bed and stub your toe and unleash a volley of whispered f-bombs
Note: Travel hockey to where you play in alberta, new york, toronto and play the Russian Jr national team etc. is a bit different than high school sports in terms of coach and player intensity etc.
My father was a high school teacher and coach; I was around coaches day and night, saw them on their own time as well as with their teams. Some of those guys were pretty foul-mouthed among themselves (my father was not, for the record) but nothing remotely close to this ever happened with a player. With the exception of one of the football coaches I don't even remember cursing in the presence of players or students...but something personal like this? Never happened, wouldn't have been tolerated, not 50 years ago and not today.
Welcome to 2019 where people need fake trophies, safe spaces and everything is some how politicized and offensive.
Participation trophies started in the late 80’s early 90’s...around the time people your age started handing them out to kids
The first bowling participation trophy was found in the grave of an Egyptian child by anthropologist Sir Flinders Petrie and is believed to be nearly 5000 years old.
And who is giving out the trophies?
I logged in specifically to respond to this drivel.
1. 5 year olds don't invent participation trophies and demand that they be given out. Who do you think invented participation trophies? Hint: it was the adults.
2. I don't disagree about everything being politicized these days...but some of these "political" issues are actually MORALITY issues.
3. If you think that a coach yelling at a player "suck my dick" ISN'T offensive...well, I'm not sure how to respond. Where is it on the Spectrum of Offensiveness? Debatable.
Yeah, I'll be honest...I probably wouldn't have paid it much attention if I was playing, but if someone said it to my kid, I would be pissed. I wouldn't sue...but I would have a conversation with them, and their supervisor about it, and probably pull my kid from the program.
Well said. Think about the words, think about the situation coach/pkayer;mentor/mentee;adult/student...come on, there are 1,000 other incentivized things to have yelled or said. No place for it at a University, let alone one based on the Catholic faith
Ahh look another coddled Generation X idiot blaming the damn Millennials for shit his generation did.
Cuz you know, we invented all the snowflakes, participation trophies etc as toddlers.
One of the negatives of medical advancement is these older generation bums stick around longer to pester people trying to progress. Smh.
Dirty D never blamed a generation, or anyone in particular...just stated that in this era there are participation trophies, etc. Apparently, some are very defensive of their cohort. On the other hand, your response decided to denigrate an entire group of people. Smart.
Damn, whoever coddled me sure did a crappy job of it.
LOL I actually know the lawyer who is repping this player and I can hear him describing the horrible nightmare that this incident has made his client's life. I mean, sure, you can't grab a guy's junk like that, but as a judge I would find for plaintiff and award him $47 in damages.
Holy shit, this is so fucking soft. I'm normally on the side of giving the players the benefit of the doubt, but this kid seems like a very weird dude, and I have no doubt BA said this, but to warrant a firing means that the administration is charmin soft or they were looking for a reason to fire him.
its pathetic. they mustve wanted him gone bc every coach ive been around gets fired up and talks shit from time to time
Yup. The America Obama created
Turn off Fox and go fuck yourself.
Yeah, people started getting lawsuit happy in 2008.......
Yup. Anything that is wrong with this kid is definitely all Obama's fault.
You fucking moron.
Uhm.....that makes you the snowflake douchebag that Trump created.
The delicious irony of a butthurt cracker rending his garments and crying about Obama ruining his perfect world. Unbelievable, but so, so typical.
Let me guess you're a failure because of affirmative action too.
Racism is fun
"The delicious irony of a butthurt cracker"
Nothing like showing how hateful you are in response to someone else's hate!
Not to be confused with buttered Ritz crackers. Those are delicious.
I'm not the one spouting off for no reason, sorry, not the same.
If you post an overtly political statement of hate, you should expect some backlash.
I hate what he stands for, not going to stay silent or be congenial.
No one is telling you to stay silent or be congenial, you fucking martyr. They are telling you not to fight stupidity and racism with more stupidity and racism.
I hate what he stands for too, yet I'm not hurling racial slurs at him. Be better.
