OT: Jon Teske Currently playing in an NBA G League game Espn2
#15 for the Lakeland Magic. Currently on the bench but he has gotten a little bit of playing time
Has he missed any bunnies?
Asking for a friend.
Go Jon Go!
Put them to sleep!
He gave 40 points to the guy he is defending.
Just kidding.
You need a new schtick - this one is tired
Never going to be an NBA player (maybe he gets a 10-day contract a couple times) but he will be a long time G-League guy ;or play in another country and make a living playing basketball, thats a pretty good life
Honest question: Is there such thing as a long time G-League guy? As a developmental league it seems like they'd want to bring in a guy that *might* have potential for long enough to determine whether they have a chance at the NBA but if it's clear they don't I'd assume they'd move on even if the replacement isn't quite as good at the moment if they're younger, higher ceiling, etc. Is there anyone that's been made a career out of the G-League?
Manny Harris? Although he might have been pre G League?
Im not really sure how long they allow players to stay in the G League,Im saying Teske is a G-League / AAAA (like MLB =tween AAA and MLB) level player and he will always have somewhere to play .

Jeremy Lin of Linsanity fame is still going in the G league so...maybe?

Jeremy Lin has played 8 years in the NBA and this is his first year in the G league. He hardly counts as a long time G league guy
@BlockM not really, International Leagues pay better than the G(formerly D) -League, so usually if a player decides this is my career but the NBA isn't calling, they go overseas.
But look up players like Ron Howard and Renaldo Major for some long-term G-Leaguers.
Playing basketball for a living, any kind of living, is a blessing.
Good luck, Jon!
Not just any game, this was the G League Championship. From now on, he will always be known as Jon Teske, G League Champion.
He's looked good out there. Looks very mobile, playing solid defense, his 3 point shooting has been good, and he can post up as well
The Big Sleep wins a ‘ship. Nice job Jon.
Good for him!

It seems to me that they are trying to get him to develop a better 3 point shot. That is what the G League did for Duncan..

Richard Harris doesn't play. Believe that.
