OT: John Dorsey gets the boot at Cleveland

I guess I'm mildly surprised. I don't follow the Browns, but from a distance it seems that his drafting and player acquisition has been pretty good. Of course his choice in Head coaches sucks.

Actually his drafting and FA signings as a whole have been iffy at best.

There was a lot of crap going on behind the scenes allegedly that pointed to how clueless Freddie was and Dorsey lobbied hard for year 2.  Couple that with the fact that all of their top 3 candidates wouldn't work with him (McDaniels, Stefanski & McCarthy) and it became clear to ownership he had to go.

Look for a HC/GM pairing much like the 49ers did two years ago here.  And good or bad, Moneyball Depodesta is heading up the hiring process with the Haslams making the final call.
