OT: Imagine Being A Browns Fan....

LOLZ, what a pathetic team. Their fan base bought it hook, line and sinker. ? u remain. Will their coach be canned tomorrow or after the season?

I have employees who spent thousands of dollars in tickets this season and on hotels. They don’t have that type of money, but this franchise sold them hope.

The Browns will fire Kitchens and hire Don Brown.

Then Jim Harbaugh will add two new DCs, me and Sparty.

Imagine being a Lions fan...

60+ years with 1 playoff victory despite having arguably the best running back and wide receiver in history. They fired their winningest head coach in forever for a "rocket scientist" that made them cellar dwellers again. At least the Browns have the talent to be solid if they can find a decent coach.

Imagine being a UM Football fan and only winning 9-10 games yearly, tied for the division last season, make it to a NY6 Bowl every other year.  Damn, we suck, too!

Congrats to the Browns for sticking a W on Arizona.  The L's are now in sole position of the 5th draft spot, and likely to move up to third or fourth next week with the Giants playing the Redskins and the Dolphins playing the Bengals.

I hear they've got their eyes on OSU TE Luke Farrell for their first round pick.

Genuine question: Are the Lions the worst sports franchise of all time (in the US)? I would’ve argued the Clippers about ~10 years ago, but they’re relevant now and have been for a bit...I honestly don’t know and - although I love the NFL - I don’t pay attention to the Lions...

I don't know.  We have had 53 Super Bowls (soon to be 54), and the Lions have been in none of them.

Even the St Louis Browns - horrible as they usually were - made one World Series in their 52 years!

(admittedly it was during World War II, and MLB was considerably different during the War years, but they DID make it).

This is why I’m convinced that the universe is attempting to balance itself out with all of the consistent, wildly stupid success that OSU has had for over half a century.

The rest of the Ohio sports landscape is full of either one of two things:

1) Steaming shitpiles of organizations that are horribly run and never sniff championships. Or:

2) Perennial underachievers or “close but no cigars” who can only win a championship once every 50-60 years.

As a 27 year old Browns fan, this is worse than being a Lions fan. I have only known failure (mostly). It sucks when you couple that with Michigan's losses as well.

But I will say not every Browns fan hopped on the hype wagon. I was against promoting Freddie from the beginning. I never wanted to trade Pep for Odell. Etc.

When you're a Lions fan, you can legitimately say things like 'fuck the Browns'.  So yeah, fuck the Browns and their Johnny come lately suckiness.  Get some time sucking, asshats.

And for all the Browns fans that want the comparison to be real, tell me again about those AFC Championship games...

LOL - great post.  The Lions truly are the only NFL fan-base looking UP at the Browns' level of success.  We are legitimately jealous of the Browns.

Nobody is jealous of the Lions, of course.  Bengals?  2 Super Bowls in the last 30 years.  Cardinals?  A Super Bowl about 10 years ago.  Jets?  Nobody feels sorry for New Yorkers, but they made 2 straight AFC Title Games around 2010.  Jaguars?  Even they have been to 3 AFC Title Games!

I guess misery loves company, but nobody wins the "who's worse" debate.  We do have proof that an NFL team had to leave Cleveland to be successful, whereas we just assume it with the Lions.

The difference between the Lions and the Browns is that only a moronic Lions fan would go into a season with hope of any success. The Browns actually thought theyd be good so people got invested. Its easy as eff to be a fan of a shitty team, you just dont really give a shit about what happens. Its worst when people have expectations and then get crushed. Like Michigan fans who year after year actually go into the OSU game convinced we will win..now thats real suckers for punishment.

No sympathy at all for Browns fans.

100 percent of them (and yes I say that with exactitude) are O$U fans.

They're completely content trading in a lousy NFL franchise for a college franchise that his much more profitable and with a more efficient payroll.
