Could someone embed that scene from Sandlot where they are playing baseball on the 4th and fireworks are going off and Ray Charles is singing. That would be awesome.

In all honesty there are many beautiful places in the world outside of the United States, And there are many beautiful people outside of the United States. And I would love to see, and meet all of them in my lifetime.... But I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world, and I would fight to keep it that way.

In that most of us have ancestors who are not from America and many of us can celebrate how great it is to be an American while still taking pride in the non-American part of our heritage. And further because many on here celebrate Harbaugh (myself included) who embodies so many of America"s best qualities (hard work, risk taking, ingenuity, competive spirit) but manages to do so without seeming to feel the need to indiscriminately tear other people down. Go blue and go USA.

I'm old enough to have lived through  the Bicentenial when I was 12 and was wondering if I can make it to see the tricentennial? I think there is a chance with the advancement of modern medicine. The centenarian population is growing exponentially. Today living to 108 to 112 is a stretch but I would not be surprised if in the next 20 years we start getting some people living past 120 to 130. So, I think I have a chance to still be alive for the Tricentennial.

God Bless America! I'm thankful for the sacrifices that so many made for liberty. Also, I raise a glass to my brothers in arms that have payed the ultimate price to keep us free. Cheers!

It was a huge gamble, and it very nearly failed every day from July 4 until Christmas 1776, when Washington ended his long organized retreat, but it was worth it. It was absolutely worth it. Happy birthday, America.
