You watch, in a few years these guys will take all the OL and DL spots in football. And yet some politician will somehow convince the angry unemployed that the "Chinese and Mexicans" took their jobs...

This is a very funny comment. However, it's funny how our previous administration said that 1% growth and high unemployment was "the new normal", and really it was just that their policies were horrible for economic growth and now things are going gangbusters with an administration who actually knows how to properly manage the economy.

All the premises you launch from being false, there's no discussion to be had. The credit you provide for the current economy was a trend that started 9 years ago.  And there is no current "administration", the notion of that is very funny.

I didn't intend this to spur a political debate, but, um, you may want to go look at some economic (GDP) data, as you seem to be horribly misinformed. Pay particular attention to Q214 and Q314, under the "previous administration," and then notice how they are both significantly better than anything under the "new administration." Fact is, the last 8 quarters - even WITH a deficit-busting tax cut intended to spur huge gains in PCE, which account for 70%+ of GDP - are only a small fraction (0.4% quarterly, on average) better than the 16 quarters before that.

Unemployment is currently at 3.8%. There's no way it even sniffs that number that under the previous administration's policies. Because the last administration was hostile to business, most businesses held off on major investment. Ultimately you could tell their plan was to maintain a fairly large amount of the population who was unhappy with their current situation, so they were more susceptible to manipulation(luckily we are no longer have that government issuing the media directives and pushing all the Caitlyn Jenner and Trayvon Martin crap in hopes to get everyone stirred up).

Look at some of the gnarly people being brought back into the workforce nowadays, who had been sitting at home for the last 14 years collecting various forms of government assistance. I voted twice for Obama(and still like some things he did), but after experiencing economic life under him as opposed to now, I was downright foolish to believe some of the nonsense he said.

I talked about automation and job losses. You responded by talking about "stellar economic growth."

I showed you that stellar economic growth was a fiction, using irrefutable economic numbers. You responded by talking about the unemployment rate.

I have a feeling you aren't the most reasonable person to debate with, so I shall stop now.

But one thing: I call "total bullshit." I have heard the "I voted for Obama, but now I'm a full-blown Trump supporter" bullshit before, and I am sure I will hear it again. But I'd bet a pinky finger you didn't. And anyway, if you really did go from Obama to Trump, you're schizophrenic and need help...

I have an opinion about all this BUT YOU ALL WILL NOT HEAR IT. That is because this blog is (supposed to) steer clear of politics.I can get all the political discussion I can handle for this and many more lifetimes on a zillion other sites. For the love of all that is holy please, PLEASE, leave politics out of this forum.

Their development relies heavily on outside forces. May be long term projects. But the potential is literally, like literally, limitless.

If I’d known that a post about quadripedal robots would end up in a political food fight I wouldn’t have posted it.
