Everyone Murders

There goes my impression of Cook as Kirk Cousins (who seems to truly be a good guy, misplaced loyalties and racistly-named current team notwithstanding) version 2.0.  Most clips I'd seen of him fit the Cousins mold.  (It's not Cousin's fault he got drafted by that douchebag Dan Snyder's team.)

Truly a douche move by Cook.  Even if Archie Griffin were a paid intern at FSN, you don't treat other human beings that way (one of my fundamental life principles, FWIW).  The fact that Archie Griffin is a living CFB legend makes this even more douchey.

Not at all surprising, I have heard from two different girls about how he became physical with them and wouldn't let them leave.

We don't need any additional reason to dislike MSU; we're there already.

What you don't apparently get is that some of us respect college football history, and Archie Griffin is one of the greats in the game. For a guy on a team that is constantly bleating about disrespek, Cook showed no respect whatsoever to the only man to have won two Heismans.

There's definitely some truth to the "we really don't care about this incident."

Cook came out and apologized.  It's totally reasonable that he was paying attention to the guy talking and thought he should just get over to that guy.

They do these MVP award ceremonies so half-assed and disorganized, it's reasonable that it was a mistake.

Maybe he did it on purpose and is a total douche.  But if I take off OUTRAGE goggles, I think it's much more likely it was an honest mistake that came off as a douchebag move.

Whatever.

It's not worth any of our time to think twice about how MSU's fucking B10 trophy ceremony.

SMH! This is why state will never have our respect. That whole program is pure fucking garbage. I can't wait till we start beating them with character and cruelty. That muffed punt was the last straw.

I wasn't watching too closely at the end, but I remember being surprised there was a trophy named after Archie Griffin, and that he was there and then suddenly he wasn't.  Watching this...   Poor Archie is showing his class by still smiling.  And Cook...  Wow.

The evidence is starting to stack up that he is a lot more arrogant and cocky than has been shown in the media. Not being a captain along with this and taunting the UM and OSU student sections immediately after the game do not shine him in the best light.

Bama has the best defense for them though. They will not be pushed around like Iowa. Oklahoma has the best combination of offense and defense and Clemson has a good offense and weak defense.

Apparently he didn't realize what was happening, and spent a good amount of time profusely and personally apologizing to Griffin on the BTN set after the ceremony.

Sounds like he did the right thing to rectify the situation. Sometimes things aren't everything the internet wants them to be.

1. Where did I say he was a saint?

2. You really think he's hitting his Twitter feed in the five minutes of celebrating with his teammates and then showing up at the BTN set?

Yeesh. I understand wanting to hate our rivals. A college kid made a mistake on national TV after winning arguably his program's biggest game in years. He manned up. Stuff the cynicism for a second.
