OT - Chad Kelly dismissed from Clemson
Title says it all...
First Zeke Pike and now Kelly, seems that a lot of the QBs from the 2012 class that we were recruiting have struggled to adjust to college thus far.

For a second I was thinking of Chad Morris. That would be really bad for Clemson.
I thought the same thing this morning when I saw the article...I was like "oh shit!" I think he's your next head coach at Virginia Tech when Beamer retires...that would've been a career blow.
Then I saw that it was some kid that I recognized, but really didn't know anyway and I found something else to procrastinate and waste the day away with.

There were also various tweets alluding to how he had apparently had a further meeting with the coaching staff and, upon being dismissed, lost his shit and eventually had to be escorted away by campus police. If true, that's probably not the best impression to leave if you're being dismissed for "conduct detrimental to the team".
SBNation - HERE - also suggests that, at some point after the spring game, an incident in a parking lot added to the already big mess that was apparently Kelly's weekend. Their article also links some reports of Kelly's rather strange relationship with, well, everyone and everything from the sound of it.

Did we ever really recruit him?
He never had an offer from Michigan.
We didn't offer Chad Kelly, so I'm not really sure why you think that part is important.
However, IIRC, Kelly was the QB in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl that Ondre Pipkins chased down near the sideline. So at least there's that connection.
