OT: British Open Sunday
Harman has been a machine. Flash of brilliance.
Every time he has a bogey, he responds with a birdie. Putting has been phenomenal. Harman is just playing smart, smart golf.
Good for Harman, who seems like a good guy, but this has been the most boring Open in memory.
Reminds me of the pre-Tiger era, when unless you followed the sport closely everyone was pretty interchangeable.
Harman's had a lot to do with making it boring.
Block M just sighted!
Harman's waggle gave me a flashback to Sergio's at Bethpage several years ago.
Hoooray for short, bald lefties!!!
That was literally the worst major of all time.
When is the LIV merger happening?
/Ducks.
Which LIV golfer did you miss seeing play in the Open? Very confusing comment.
It was a joke. I know the LIV players play majors.
That tournament sucked major ass. Was it because Brian Harman is a really boring golfer and people won’t be able to pick him out of a lineup in 2 years? Probably.
It sucked because NBC has no idea how to video and broadcast a golf tournament-this was the major issue.
Good call. That certainly did not help.
Rooting for him b/c he's one letter from being named Harmon.
The only negative is.. he’s a Bulldog.
Very solid play all week.
What a boring major that was
A minor major?
Despite it being “boring” I personally was glad to see Harman dominate. It sounds like locals in the crowd were harassing him all week.
My guess is they were not happy with an American coming in there and dominating their asses. Especially a 5 foot 5 bald lefty from Georgia.
Either way, Harman seems like a good dude and I was happy to see him win.
Harman's post tourney interviews and comments were great. His play was excellent throughout the week - and, he putted "beyond belief". His accuracy off the tee was ranked first this week - with an average driving distance of 285. On the greens, he averaged 1.5 putts / hole - which was second among all players who made the cut.
He's quite an example of a journeyman - that had a lot of success as an amateur - some early success on the Tour - and, has had to "fight" against the younger players coming up - that are much bigger - and hit it longer.
Exceptional course management across the pond. And, I think a reporter asked Rahm if he thought Harman was "lucky" - or something similar. Rahm replied - "He won by six strokes. No, it wasn't luck. He won by six - he played better than everyone else."
