OT: Best bets this weekend?

Submitted by BeatOSU52 on

I know there's plenty of MgoGamblers out there, so I'm curious to see what are everyone's top bets they have this weekend, or who they got money on?  Maybe this would be a fun weekly thread if people are interested?    I'll start:

-App St + 15 vs Georgia  -  at Georgia is tough but I like a veteran team verses a younger Georgia team getting that money points

-Marshall -1.5 vs Miami (OH)  -  Miami (OH) stinks in road openers and Marshall has their number in recent years.

-Kentucky -11 vs Southern Miss - Kentucky has a lot of returning starters this year.

-Middle Tennessee +3 vs Vandy. -  like the home team with a solid veteran QB getting the points.  (tempting to take the over 59 here too if you're a parlay guy)

-Troy +10 vs Boise St -  Boise St loses a lot from last years team, which wasn't all that good either.

As for FSU- Alabama , Grrrr, it seems the sharp play is to go with Florida St  getting a full touchdown, but Saban's Alabama is always so damn good game 1 in big games.  Staying away from now but I may throw down some money on Bama tomorrow once I get a few drinks in me.

And as for Michigan, I of course love them to cover the 5.5 but I am trying my best to not bet on Michigan games this season.

Speaking of bets. I was at a local casino here in Vegas and on the Heisman odds they have Wilton Speight listed as a Michigan St. player... I'm not a Speight fan but I wouldn't insult him like THAT!

I was listening to local sports radio here in Charleston this evening and they were talking about good bets.  Your first two assessments align with what the local dude on the radio said.  For what it's worth ...

Rutgers to cover.

But seriously best bet is UNC -12 & a hook vs Cal.

1. Cal sucks.

2. New HC and QB

3. Heels have a huge edge on D.

4. UNC with a few transfers to fill holes.

5. Cal playing at 9am PST.
