OT: Bama DL coach resigns over possible recruiting violations
BREAKING: Alabama assistant coach Bo Davis is leaving his position over inquiry into possible recruiting violations.https://t.co/0LP3nE1lFb

One wonders if that is what got the ball rolling at a place like Alabama.
I mean, no surprise that an Alabama coach might engage in unsavory (and prohibited) recruiting behaviors--but something had to frighten someone into opening the investigation.
And when a coach resigns before an investigation is complete--or before the results are official--one must assume that where there's smoke there's fire.
It's shaping up to be--indirectly speaking--a very solid week in Michigan football recruiting . . . .
Some how Paul Finebaum and his illiterate radio audience will try to pin this on Harbaugh.
Clown Village
Their woman's basketball team will probably get the death penality for this...
AND, Wolverine Devotee, why did you photoshop that alleged Brandon email.
Violations that he himself committed or by another coach?
Clicking the link answered my own question.
So you're saying Dashawn Hand didn't go there for their engineering program?
Awesome.

Of course these fuckers have been cheating. I'm sure Saban's buddy Mark Emmert will see to it that nothing happens.

Can't wait to hear the official findings in 10 years.
Can't wait to hear from my future great grand children how Alabama gets put on probation 50 years from now.
Man, I'm starting to feel really sorry for Tuskegee University about right now.
"Da’Shawn Hand, who was the No. 1 player in the country coming out of high school in the class of 2014, recently spoke highly of Davis, too."
Hmmmmmmmmm
In his defense, it's really hard to say bad things about someone when they're filling your pockets with cash.

The NCAA will hammer their ResHall IM champs with violations before they touch Saban.
The comments in the article from the Alabama fans tell you all you need to know. Not a single concern about Alabama cheating. Just discussion about how soon this can be swept under the rug.
They are clearly used to this, and totally unfazed by it.

I'm sure Alabama's punishment will rank right up there with North Carolina's......
Exactly. The Alabama women's basketball team better get ready for the NCAA hammer coming their way.
I doubt anything comes of this. Alabama is doing its own investigation and the NCAA (as has been their policy for pretty much everybody) will take it at face value. Bama won't let this get too deep, even if there is stuff to dig into.
The only thing that would really unravel the corruption I would believe exists in the SEC is a serious violation of Federal Law that brings legal investigation into the mix. You know, the same sort of thing that nailed Ed Martin and virtually every other major cheating scandal in recent years.
Alabama is a repeat offender, the last time back in the mid- nineties they almost got the death penalty when Antonio Langham took money from an agent.

Who am I kidding, it's Bama Bwahahahaha!!!
Lest we forget Gene Jelks.
The dirty Alabama player that was paid by Auburn boosters to rat out Alabama for recruiting violations.
Players being paid to rat on the programs that paid them? That's some good ol' SEC rivalry there.

That's some good ol' double posting right there ;)
I don't know. The guy doesn't resign for a little technicality kind of violation. I think NCAA moves on this a bit. It's Bama, it's big news, even in the off-season. Maybe I'm not jaded enough, but I think this goes deep, balls deep.
An assistant coach like him is usually the fall guy for these kinds of things. He did not act on his own, but he will be expected to take the fall.

at Bama, Ole Miss, Auburn, et al show up on day one, they're told that some day they might have to resign, but Jim Bob and Uncle Cooter will take care of them with a nice severance package. None of these guys stays quiet without that cash cushion for the fall they have to take.

Interesting how there is no moral outrage about this from him when it's his own people.
He's standing in a pile of shit, complaining about how bad Harbaugh's aftershave smells.
