OT: 30th WWE Royal Rumble open thread
I predict I will be disappointed with this PPV.
That is a house money pick when it comes to WWE RR in recent years.
Lest we forget when the people in Philadelphia blocked the wrestlers from leaving the arena with their cars two years ago when Roman won.
The Royal Rumble returns to the Alamodome where it was 20 years ago when Steve Austin "won" his first of 3.
Back then WWF was getting its ass kicked by WCW in the ratings and not many knew how many more Royal Rumbles there would be left.

Some of the issues do appear to be carrier-specific. Here in NY it seems to be decent, but other markets it definitely seems bad.

Of course when I was a kid, he was the coolest wrestler there. That was 2003-2005. 2006 he started getting into his fake marine deal and I lost interest.
The rapper Cena was the best. I remember getting his CD the day it came out with my Word Life lock on.

I stopped watching wrestling around the time you started, because I was so sick of Randy Orton being shoved down our throats (phrasing!). I missed Cena's early years, so I never really got sick of him like so many others.
Now that I'm an old fart, I love Cena for his Make a Wish work if nothing else. I'll happily cheer for a guy that gives so much of his time to those kids. I'll admit I was chopping onions a bit when he went into the crowd with his Make a Wish kid tonight.
