OSU Returns 7,000 Unsold Tickets to Rose Bowl

The wheels are (at least for this year) coming off the Buckeye bandwagon

Ohio State football sold just more than two thirds of its allotment of tickets for the Rose Bowl Game as the Buckeyes prepare to face Utah on New Year's Day, according to The Columbus Dispatch. Associate athletic director for ticketing and premium seating Brett Scarbrough told the outlet Ohio State returned the remainder of its 20,000 ticket allotment — approximately 7,000 tickets — to the bowl game, according to the report.

It would be good to see less scarlet at Michigan Stadium, too, as they get more accustomed to losing.

Ohio State has an Associate athletic director for ticketing and premium seating?  Do we have a Associate athletic director for ticketing and premium seating? Are we losing the premium seating war because we don't pay enough to retain the most talented and driven Associate athletic director for ticketing and premium seating money can buy?

We were literally just there 3 years ago. Everyone who wanted go, has already went and COVID isn’t exactly making things easier. Yes, the CFP was the expectation, but make no mistake about it, the Rose Bowl will be the third highest watched bowl game by the end of the day.

Meh.  Your program is soft and team looks like a Big 12 squad. Bama exposed that soft defense last year and Harb-offense ground and pounded them into submission this year.

Sociopath Urban always had good d-lines and a running game. Day is turning OSU into Texas Tech.

Sure, the Rose Bowl will get viewers, but I’d be concerned if I was an osu fan about what the team puts on the field. OSU-UM was already the most viewed game of the year and was essentially a 3 hour ad for the UM program.  OSU didn’t just get beat, they got run over and quit by the 4th quarter. That’s the type of game that can destabilize a program and leave a spoiled fan base calling for the coach’s head.

I do fear that Knowles and his 4-2-5 might get beat up by you guys in the years to come if he can’t adapt to certain games…but having said that, no sane fan is calling for Ryan Day’s head. The Bama game was with Coombs calling the defense and there wasn’t a real D Coordinator this year. Next year will be interesting with Knowles there.
