In the intros for all the runners they mentioned both sisters ran at Michigan, while I never heard another college mentioned for any other participant. That was probably just trying to relate to American viewers.
And I'm not sure what was meant by the post either.

Now for the Maize (Gold)!

Oregon got a lot of love since one of the hurdelers in another event plays football there.

The guy that was in the lane next to him for the 110m hurdles is currently on Oregons track team. They were also showing the Oregon football team who had gathered to watch the finals as a team back in Eugene. Needless to say Oregon got way more mention than Michigan did.

Olympic race / beauty pageant. Great looking heat here.

Well, no.

Beautiful girls with perfectly fit bodies wearing practically nothing. A girl saying she loves watching Tom Brady's butt in a football game is fine 100 in 100 times. Its a stupid double standard some guys put on themselves.
I can appreciate both at the same time.

I think Tom has a fabulous butt.

Google Sage Watson from preliminary heats... the camera man stayed on her waaaaaaay too long as she was walking off the track. It's kinda funny the stuff which is popping on the net now because of it.

We ought to objectify Olympic athletes more. Who's got a better body, these women or underwear models that eat 800 calories a day?
(apologies for the hot take)

Wow, great finish and comeback for Castlin to rake bronze. Kind of hard to figure who to root for with 5/8 of the women having a worthy cause in my eyes. Cool to see the USA sweep though.

Cindy Ofili went to Huron High in Ann Arbor. I remember seeing her in HS meets when my son ran for Skyline.

Seeing Ofili narrowly miss out is made worse by NBC assuming I'd be glad about the US sweep.

If I'm being honest, I would have considered either of them medaling an American sweep, since they are, you know, also American.

So Americans took 1-4, 7th then?

The US is one of the few (maybe only?) places in the world where one can get an athletic scholarship for college.

Men's distance is 110 m, women's is 100m. Same number of hurdles though.

That sounds harder, but OK...
