Those cowbells are INCREDIBLY annoying and should be outlawed..I remember a few years back when we played them in a bowl game and I was there I told myself I would NEVER go to another game that Miss St was in..it ruined the whole experience..Why are they even allowed I thought they got banned from using them

One of the funnier football plays I've seen in awhile --- an Ole Miss player fields a punt, looks up and sees 2 Bulldogs nearly on top of him, and THEN tries to call a fair catch.
Didn't work, he still got lit up pretty good.

Brian Cole with 2 penalties in final minute of 4th quarter......roughing passer on a blitz, and pass interference.
Ole Miss scores a TD with 4 seconds left, but missed the extra point after an excessive celebration penalty (refs didn’t like the WR on all fours lifting his leg like a dog)
Even when these teams aren’t great, The Egg Bowl always seems to be an exciting game.

The Egg Bowl is perfect for Thanksgiving evening --- it's not exactly good, but it is entertaining.
The Egg Bowl is also a bit of an example of Sayre's Law: "In any dispute the intensity of feeling is inversely proportional to the value of the issues at stake."
It's all about who's the premier college football team in Mississippi, and the 5th best team in the SEC West!
