I guess Chryst is thinking take it to start in the second half and make it a new ball game. Just don’t understand not trying to score in the last few minutes here.

In case you weren’t aware Michigan has two new secondary coaches. Clinkscale is well respected and has the secondary playing pretty well. Maybe let the game happen. I know there is history of QBs hitting ridiculous throws against UM but this is a new team and new staff.

The thing that makes me optimistic is that both ND and Wisconsin just don’t look athletic or fast. I feel like one of the big differences with Michigan this year is we look fast. We haven’t always looked that way.

Texas was 7-3 last year with 3 losses by a combined 13 points.  They were absolutely not a "bad" team.  They underwhelmed and got tripped up against inferior teams, but it remains to be seen if he can lift Texas above "pretty good team that trips itself a couple of times a year."

Texas has average 45 against Texas Tech since 2011. They scored 63 against them last year. Oklahoma State has averaged 47 against them since 2010. Ok State scored 50 last year. Oklahoma has averaged 50 against them since 2010 and scored 62 last year. Texas Tech doesn’t play defense. This game tells the fans and Texas literally nothing.

Florida State put up 38 on Notre Dame and Florida State is bad bad. Like should be FCS bad. If that doesn’t do it for you, Toledo scored 29 on them as well. Notre Dame may have a good defense but good is certainly the ceiling. A good Big Ten team should be able to put up over 28 on them.

I think ND is pretty good but through this half at least it seems like Wisconsin is not the class of the Big Ten West this year. Road goes through Iowa City seems like.

Although what the announcers just said makes it seem like Wisconsin’s ground defense is very good so we may have to be able to throw next week. Think they said Wisconsin has allowed 67 yards on the ground through 2.5 games so far this season. Still Michigan’s ground game may be the most potent they will face this year.

Eastern Michigan only ran the ball like 20 times and Eastern Michigan is not good. Cain ran the ball 8 times for 48 yards 6.0 ypc. Corum is better than Cain and Michigan’s run game is better than PSUs. Michigan will be fine on the ground. It will be tougher yards they have to work, but they’ll be fine.
