Night Games Open Thread
Pretty good day for us, with NU taking out Sparty, Minnesota taking out Iowa, and our win. Not exactly a great night of matchups, but college football is always better than not college football. Some fun ones to watch:
Georgia 24 - Florida 20 (5 to go, Florida has ball on G 35)
Ole Miss at Auburn - 7 - ESPNU
South Carolina at Tennessee - 7:15 - ESPN2
Wisconsin at Ohio State - 8 ESPN
Stanford at USC - 8 - ABC/ESPN3
Clemson at GT - 8 - ESPN3/ABC
As usual, the full listings can be found here
Discuss and enjoy a solid day for us.

Hah, glad to hate OSU again
October 29th, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
It's Ohio that they're playing.
October 29th, 2011 at 7:16 PM ^
Let's go Wiscansan.
whoops!
October 29th, 2011 at 7:17 PM ^
It would be fun if MSU and OSU lose on the same day again
October 29th, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
that would be goal accomplished
October 29th, 2011 at 8:56 PM ^
Almost like that time they played eachother and both lost?
October 29th, 2011 at 7:19 PM ^
Any live streams for the ohio - Wiscy game?
October 29th, 2011 at 7:24 PM ^

badass thnx ive been looking but havnt seen one
October 29th, 2011 at 7:24 PM ^
He's been gushing for the last 5 minutes about Georgia throwing on 2nd and 9 (on Florida's half of the field) with 2 minutes to go instead of running the ball to keep the clock running.
"That is one of the gutsiest calls you'll see."

In Richt's position (hot seat cliche goes here), with the bias being to do the conservative thing, kick a FG and trust your defense? It's fairly gutsy. If something goes wrong and Florida scores and you lose, considering the last 20 years of Cocktail Parties... oof.
October 29th, 2011 at 7:42 PM ^
off topic.... but i played in an adult soccer league tonight and sprained my MCL.
Thought Id share that coincidence
October 29th, 2011 at 8:01 PM ^
Does every B1G school / Notre Dame now play the white stripes at their games? I swear I've heard it at Michigan (obv), ND, MSU and now OSU
October 29th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
Sure seems like it. It's a plague of the modern era.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:26 PM ^
PSU, but they started it really.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:04 PM ^
October 29th, 2011 at 8:59 PM ^
I like the idea of a three-way tie. However, it isn't possible. PSU can probably win 1/3, at least
October 29th, 2011 at 8:05 PM ^
is tsio wearing?
October 29th, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
I want to make fun of Ohio's uniforms, but they don't look as bad as ours did in the MSU game.
Edit: From a design standpoint. Obviously they suck because Ohio wears them.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:09 PM ^
Compared to most pro-combat unis, they're positively amazing.
That said, they suck awful. Wisconsin is still wearing their normal unis--making them completely not interesting. Why would anyone ever want to be a fan of a team that doesn't ever wear alternate uniforms? Wisconsin fans are obviously suckers.
Edit: Up close those things are terrible. What's the glitter on the chest for? Is OSU going to see Hanson afterwards?
October 29th, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
Those uniforms literally look like something out of Any Given Sunday....nike is killing college football.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:07 PM ^
OSU's regular uniforms have all been sold.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
Oh God. OSU's uniforms are the worst things I have ever seen. Ten times worse than anything we wore.
Puke. Vomit. Tears. Sadness.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:09 PM ^
Those are some ugly uni's.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:09 PM ^
So awful I had to say it twice.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
October 29th, 2011 at 8:13 PM ^
The Buckeyes got the uniforms from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...
(the ticket just said "Bucs")
Wait till you see what Tampa looks like tomorrow!
October 29th, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
Johnathan Hankins is huge
October 29th, 2011 at 8:13 PM ^
wow for the 2nd straight week....Wiscy's D still looks paper thin. amazing how much JJ Watt meant to them.

Not to an earlier era, but to an earlier stage of childhood.

October 29th, 2011 at 8:20 PM ^
Quiet! They might be listening.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:22 PM ^
Disagree, I feel like Miller needs a Peyton Manning level playbook and total authority to call whatever he wants. After a couple starts, he's earned that leeway.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:22 PM ^
stanford cheerleader :| eww
October 29th, 2011 at 8:24 PM ^
has got some happy feet tonight. He can make these throws off balance so it's not hurting the team, but he's getting the fugout of the pocket PDQ on a lot of these plays
October 29th, 2011 at 8:24 PM ^
On Wisconsin! Not only is OSU losing, they have to do it wearing uniforms that would embarass Washington State.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:24 PM ^
Touchdown Wisconsin

but I'm not sure you can definitively say his toes weren't on the turf. I.e. don't think you can over turn that.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
Conservation of angular momentum. His rotational motion sped up--can't do that if you don't touch something.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:34 PM ^
I think that was a catch, but there's no way the officials could overturn it.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:39 PM ^
That was a nice tackle by #4 on OSU.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:39 PM ^
subscribe to the "James White is as good as Montee Ball" theory. They were a different team against MSU when Ball went out.
I wrote this before Ball got stoned there

I enjoyed Bielema in The Hangover. Not sure why he wasn't in the second one.
