They also have a win on a straight up lucky hail mary against a bad cal team. In a given season things tend to even out and most teams end up about where they should be give or take 1 loss.

Just poking at the numerous revisionist historians on here who are now believing Richrod's offense was always awesome at Michigan. It was great sometimes, and other times it couldn't do anything. It doesn't appear much has changed with the move to Tucson

Name an offense that is great 100% of the time.

They lost Hill in the third. Who was the other player?
You are correct about the offense. Zona scored 26 and 31 vs SC and Oregon.* So they had performed vs good teams up tot his point.
*Oregon's defense blows.

I believe it was a LB, early for targeting.

One thing I noticed in this game, when you have two tempo teams not playing well the game can really slow down. There was like 3 three and outs in a 2 minute span of gametime at one point. Thats a lot of commerials if you aren't playing an 11 pm start time.

with great hits, the D's had the upper hand all night. Terrific game.

of a grab bag of good but very flawed teams. Throw Stanford, UCLA, USC, AZ, ASU, Utah and maybe Washington into a bag and you get a different result each week.

All of who can probably dismantle every B10 team and potentially give OSU and MSU a run for their money as well.
That's how deep the PAC12 is. The South division is hands down 2nd best in the nation behind the SEC West.

I think people who say Rich Rod shouldn't have been fired are wrong, but I still don't like seeing him lose. It should be fun to watch this team in about 2 years.

Utah is so scrappy, awesome special teams too.

See what Todd Graham did there? He utilized all his timeouts wisely, called the right plays... resulting in a chance to win the game at the end with a hail mary (and it worked against USC).
Something this staff is too conservative to ever think of doing in either half. Meh.

ASU game comes down to a hail mary at the end of regulation again... and we have OT. Pac-12 games have been thrilling this year.

Wow Utah TO saves their bacon

DAMN! UTAH MISSES BOTH WAYS!

Bam. Sets up a huge game vs ND next week
November 2nd, 2014 at 1:39 AM ^
Utah really impressed me. Neither team deserved to lose.
November 2nd, 2014 at 7:21 AM ^
Rich Rod's offense sputtering against a physical defense on the road. Same old same old.
Not even a very good defense either. UCLA has given up huge games to the likes of Colorado.

Looks like Arizona wins and the board is flush with "RR is the greatest" threads. AZ loses and...crickets. With a total of 1 (very) impressive win all season and a number of close games against bad opponents, maybe folks are already jumping off his bandwagon.

Sounds like Tate vs ND years back. Big win, and then...
Anyway, 7 points sure doesn't sound the offensive Jesus, but if AZ folks are happy, then that's cool. I think RR would've given up 40/game in a 4th year in A2 (and maybe won 3 games in a 5th given that he would have been holding open tryouts for linemen), but I know many here would disagree.
