Surprised by the lack of content surrounding this years NHL Draft outside of Brian's Verified Voracity columns. For those of you living under a rock or maybe just not into hockey... there will be Four, FOUR! Michigan Wolverines (counting incoming frosh) taken in the first Ten, TEN! draft slots in tomorrows NHL Draft. Big Day for Michigan Hockey and College Hockey in general.
Amazing talent. Lets go win a frozen four.

Curious to see who goes First Overall to Buffalo. Owen Power has been the consensus #1 but they are fawning over William Eklund.
wouldn't be surprised if Eklund went 1st, kid can play. Silver lining would be that Power would probably go to seattle where Jason Botteril is the Asst GM...
Honestly I think Seattle would be better off taking Beniers than Power. I think they’re pretty solid as a team defensively and Beniers adds an element as a two-way forward with offensive upside and a high motor.
GM Ron Francis is known for his conservative nature though, and four of his six first round picks as Carolina’s GM were defensemen, so I could definitely see Power going there if he falls out of the top spot.
I wasn't impressed with Seattle's picks at all, that said I only have vegas to compare. Didn't seem to be as much unprotected talent as the Vegas year. Cholowski of Stecher was an eye opener...
Yeah a lot of underwhelming picks, but the players they did pick are stronger defensively so they clearly had a theme. The other goal was obviously to leave a lot of cap space.
Power wouldn’t surprise me, but based on their expansion draft strategy I’d think adding some offense in the draft would be the better move.
Somehow hoping that one of Eklund or Hughes fall to Detroit.
Can’t see Power not going 1st. I know it’s an odd scouting year due to Covid, but Mackenzie’s annual scout rankings are about as accurate as you’re going to get and has never been wrong at #1. And Power was the unanimous top dog on that list. 2-9 is where there’s huge discrepancies and the order could be all over the place. Guys like Hughes, Edvinsson, and Clarke have all been ranked anywhere from 2-8.
With all that being said, with Buffalo picking 1st who knows. They haven’t done much of anything right lately.
UM could be the first school to ever have the #1 & #2 picks in the draft. That’s pretty crazy.
It’s UN Unverified veracity!!!!
Does anyone have any thoughts on the teams in the top 10 that we do and do not want to take M players because of their track record with leaving players in school or not for development?
We all assumed that all 4 of them would go top 10, but for all 4 to go top 5 is insane. Buffalo and Seattle please let these boys return for one season.
