New in-state offer: 2022 LB Josh Burnham

Michigan offered Traverse City (MI) Central linebacker Josh Burnham today. He's a 6'3", 205 lb. kid with offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin, among others. His Hudl film says he had 88 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 3 interceptions last season. 247 Sports has him as a 4-star, the #7 outside linebacker, and #75 overall.

It will be interesting to see how he develops. He's a wrecking ball at linebacker, but he might end up being anywhere from middle linebacker to SAM to defensive end. He reminds me a little bit of Ben Gedeon, but I think he's a little longer.

Hey look, there’s my house.   Live right across the street from Thirlby Field.  Home of TCC Trojans, TC West Titans(Rocko Khoury, Ryan Hayes), and TC St Francis Gladiators(Joey Kerridge).

TC schools won't get their own stadiums anytime soon. To be honest, its never really been an issue and saves the schools a ton of $.  They had plans and significant funding secured for an Amazing new stadium back in the 90's (before west and central split) but it turned political and funding fell apart so they decided to just improve Thirlby on a much smaller budget.

Why is the coaching staff going after this kid when they could be going after a 3 star from New Hampshire with offers from Holy Cross, Colgate and the Massachusetts School for the Blind?

Seems like a good kid to get in early with. Hopefully they didn't just make contact with him - getting beat to the offer by Iowa, State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin isn't great.

I didn’t watch his film but My uncle lives in Traverse City caught 2 of his games last year and said this guy is real good, competition isn’t great but wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being 6’5, 6’6. I loved Shawn Crable as a little kid but that’s a big linebacker, wouldn’t be surprised to see him turned into a DE. My uncle thinks he’ll go to Michigan he’s no insider guy or whatever but he’s a real easy guy to have a conversation with and knows a few people up there.
