I'm not used to railing against individuality, and I don't tend to be superstitious, but most meme-ish/artsy mgoblog banners have been off-putting. This site, whether it wanted the responsibility or not, has become a de facto representative for who Michigan fans/alumni are, and this banner projects a bizarre sort of hypervigilance; that we have a one-track mind for letting this freak flag fly; DO NOT SIT WITH AT THE BAR; DO NOT TALK TO AT THE CROSSWALK.
It will be good for the blog to become more secure in the concept that, at least sometimes, things that are ordinary are best of all. Faces for example. That's one such case -- it's much nicer in life to have an ordinary face than one that half the population thinks is an abomination.

It may have already has messed with basketball season. Did you see how we shot against Louisville on Tuesday?
Also, I’m pretty sure Shea hadn’t fumbled since the Pitbull banner came down this earlier this fall. If the banner hadn’t made him drop that snap against OSU, and we scored a touchdown on that drive, then the entire complexion of that game would have been different.
We could’ve possibly beaten OSU and Louisville, but Brian had to bring back a Pitbull banner and its curse again.
Brian, if you read this, I want you to know that it’s all your fault!

For what little I see of the banner, when I do, I cringe every time I see that doucher's face. Pitbull is lame and putting the Lovie beard doesn't make him better. Isn't there a cool sideline shot of the basketball team in action that can be used as the banner. Something with style and class and no douchers.
