Great to see Cade using all the weapons at his disposal. The play calling to get the rock to multiple receivers during the game even though Roman Wilson was out worked. Great response after getting kicked in the teeth in the 3rd quarter. Very good balance 255p vs 204r for a run first team. Nicely done.

We didn’t need to bench Cade, but he absolutely needs to play better.

also the defense needs to practice nothing but zone reads over the bye

Did anyone catch that block Haskins leveled on that DE to put him out of the game for a few plays?  Best hit of the year, check out 2nd and 10 with 8:01 left in the 3rd.

Upon a bit of reflection, I think people bashing Cade and/or play calling last night are being kind of ridiculous.

-Michigan scored more points than anyone scored on Nebraska all season - including Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley's unstoppable offensive juggernaut scored 23 - at home. Since Nebraska's disastrous season opener their defense has been really good.

- Many of those 32 points were scored as a result of long drives. 450 yards of offense is pretty damn good.

- Cade was 22/38 for 255 - that's one completion shy of 60%, and includes a couple of drops. While not amazing, that's plenty effective. Geez, a few weeks ago there were concerns we couldn't pass at all. And let's not forget both Bell and Wilson (arguably Cade's top targets) have gone down.

- Huge drives in critical moments of the game. Cade showed a ton of poise.

- Dude has thrown ONE interception all season. That's remarkable.

- One red zone failure was result of 2 consecutive replay overturns. Weird stuff happens sometimes.

I know, I know, everyone loves the backup - and maybe (hopefully) JJ is a future superstar. But please folks, appreciate what we have. Cade played a damn fine game last night, and there was a good mix of running/passing, inside/outside, short/deep.

Cade has led our team to a completely unexpected perfect record so far, and the offense is starting to gel.

why  are so many people hating on Cade? some overthrows long, nice throws to tight ends, He keeps on winning. J.J had one nicer one lousy run.  many tough games yet. to judge his worth

He misses too many throws, and on too many others, he can’t find the open guy and ends up dumping off a pass that has no chance of accomplishing anything even if it’s completed. If you’re no threat to run, being just a good passer is not good enough in today’s game. For us to compete with elite teams (which Wisconsin and Nebraska aren’t), he needs to be an elite passer, and he never will be.

How about some love for Erick All in yesterday's game? At least two incredibly clutch second half 3rd down conversions. Last year he would have dropped at least one of them.

An unsung hero of this game -- miss either of those plays, and I think Michigan loses. Way to go, Erick!

As noted last week, McNamara is a mediocre passer who is no threat to run. He may be the best we have, but his ability is limited, and we leave way too many points on the field with him as QB. We are not going to beat any tough teams with a McNamara-led offense.
